I am not going to ask for any other audio format. If you did not shared flac, you didn't. So what? I am going to cry because I don't have flac of this? NO. Less and less people are not humble in these questions, and more like complaining and demanding, then to be thankful for something like this to be shared.
Well that escalated quickly !
1) At first, I must precise that I didn't crying or complaining about MDash for a possible or not possible .flac release, I just asked if he was able to get a flac release; why ? simply because if he can have one, I will prefer to wait the .flac version instead of downloading the .mp3 release and then re-downloading a .flac one.
That was only a simple question about a possible .flac release, nothing else. !:p
I have heard various FLAC files, I use FLAC, and I know what you are saying.
But still, I say the same thing: This is available as an M4A (not MP3) files.
There is no point in converting M4A to FLAC.
There was also:
1) no valid point in all the text you wrote in the post (I'm sorry, but I felt you where trying to teach me something?);
2) Maybe I misunderstood what you wanted to say but at first, this sentence :
FLAC must be done from CD to preserve lossless quality.
This is a digital release, original M4A, so no sense in doing a FLAC release.
Sounded for me like: I have a m4a version (and can possibly download a .flac too), but I don't see the point to take the .flac because its not a CD release !
Also, you didn't precise what is your source until this message, and like I said in another post, most of online store give a lot of choice about the audio format, so this is why I really though you doesn't wanted to take interest in .flac .
2) No attention from your part in the release (since you said MP3, and not M4A);
3) I don't believe FLAC is available in iTunes? Maybe I'm wrong...
4) Good luck putting FLAC files in portable MP3 Player's and alike (unfortunatelly...).
2) I used the generic term of .mp3 for not confuse any people, but no, I did take attention to the release, this is why I asked if a .flac was running arround. :p
3) About Itunes, I don't know, never used this (doesnt like apple :o )
4) Well still the .flac > .wave, but i know, take alot of space.
and. I still watch VHS in 2014. So what it is that "you will not be able to listen an .mp3 again in your life, like a VHS."
oh. will you buy me HDD so I can store my flac collection, will you? :D If not, I will stay having my dear mp3. -_-
Well, it's simple for me, take this example:
Soon, I will upload a gamerip about a game that do 7,8 go in .flac, off course, if you like it, you will take the .mp3 variant.
3 or 4 years later, you come with a new equipment, now, you can see the difference and want to take again the big .flac one, because you hate to know that some tracks have loss some of great instrument during the .mp3 conversion.
But its too late, links are dead now, and you will say " noooooooooooooo" !
this is what we got every day in this forum, lot of very rare release that nobody take in .flac when it come, and some years after........they cry. (a personel experience, missed a lot of "extremely rare" lossless ost like this !)
This is why I always say," take the most you can, because you never know what come after......"
About the HDD, i know this too, some years ago I has 7 HDD of 1to each, after a massive crash, I only have a 500 go one and a 320 go, good luck about to fill 7 to of data in 820 go, its like a digital tetris ! ( and I have bluray anime [ 900 mo by episode], movie [3d, 30go each], flac audio, hd game [like bf3 and his 26go]) and even with all of this, I can download .flac, its a matter of interest, you let more space for what you love.
Thanks for the support.
Trust me, If I had a FLAC, I'd share it like I did a few times with other albums I shared around here. =)
But I also agree with you in the point that sometimes High quality becomes an obsession for some people.
Reminds me of an old co-worker of mine that, every movie he had, HAD to be on Full HD. It was MANDATORY to him. If there wasn't an FULLHD version of the movie, he wouldn't even see it...
So what if a movie is DVD only? Or even VHS? Nope. Not to him. Xp
I'm a bit like that, "but", I have some luck to have some good skill about a lot of creation process (2d, 3d, audio etc...) meaning that, like some of my precious rare anime, I can make a "special work" on lossy version.
In fact, I take the DVD release and work on it to try to make him better (well as most has i can, you can't make an ugly picture like a real 4k picture...), this is why I don't watch some anime right now, until I got the time to make them better, like neoranga, still not see the 2nd season because of the simple ugly release on DVD, not even one bluray. :(
Words like "Plot" and "Storyline" are non-existent to him if it's not in 1080p! XDXD
Well I can explain why, but it will take time, too much time !!! movie like "The fountain", "Moon", "The Fall" or even "What Dreams May Come" are simply amazing in HD, because movie are not so simple like "Plot" and "Storyline", but something more complex like "Ambiance" and "Felling", this is why a good picture, a great melody, a very slow camera mouvement can be like a magical piece in a HD release, where in VHS its just a normal scenery......
that is as stupid as the high quality super earing of people, that want flac and have no idea how it works.
I wanna hear the music. mp3 works fine for me. oh and I think I have great earing problem, because I hear no difference between flac and mp3. What's that? I need to have specific hardware to be able to notice the differences? Does that mean you will buy me those? No? oh well. I will continue to delight myself with my mp3s, in my mp3 player, and sometimes burn into cds so I can hear in other spots. Why?, Because I wanna hear music freely the same way I used hear when I used to hear my audio tapes in my walkman, instead of pretentiously wanting to hear super duper HQ sound, when the human earing does not extend for what everyone keeps blabbing about in flac having all frequencies, in which good chunk 60% you don't hear at all...
Movies, I don't care if its hd or not, I just want to see the movie. But I sure refuse to download a movie file over 1.30gb. I see movies for download for like 12gb. People most work a lot to pay their HDD to store "too much" information, being "too much" the metaphor for futility aggravation.
Most of this HD and HQ shit only work for Clarkc Kent. Why? Because he is Super-man, super human, therefore, not human, therefore, those things he will see most likely the difference, and not humans...
you get why this issue turns me so out of the Planet? xD
The thing about this is simple, take a complex .flac track and then convert it to .mp3 (256 kb). no listen the difference !
You don't hear the difference ? ok ! I will just ask this, did you have used some headphone ? yes ? did you have changed of headphone one time ? yes ? did you see some difference (good or bad) when changing to another headphone ? yes ? now, come to this conclusion, what it will be if you get the opportunity to have a great earphone/headphone ?
You know its like saying this: "Ferrari Enzo ? I don't want this car; why so many rich people buy this ? its totally uselless, my Ford Focus is dam better, does this rich guy think they are so "incredible" to get a car so expensive ? ho ! and look about the fuel consomation !! my gosh !!!" -- you know what come up when you hear this ! ^_^
Also take a look about that, last night I was struggling to find a solution about "Rinne no Lagrange", an anime, because 2 fansub have done an HD release, one with great subtitle and great audio (.flac in .mkv) but with a poor birate, the other one, have make a full 1080p with a great bitrate but a poor subtitle and poor audio. So, someone will say, go mux that shit and your done, but the bad thing is, the one who did the .mkv release have mixed the subtitle with the video ( :x , i know, i know....), so ? I was forced to choose to get my first experience about this anime with:
1) bad video, great sound and subtitle.
or
2) great video, bad sound and bad subtitle.
I choose the 1), and my god, it was a delivrance to get on episode 2 !!! (the first team fixed the low birate when the 2nd episode come), but now, I need to "work" to clear this mess:
(you will need to see them in full scale for really see the difference)

Do you will be able to spot who is the low bitrate video and who is the "good one" ?
if yes, you know now why some people do their best to try to get the maximum HD. (also, the difference in size about those 2 video is almost of 145 mo)
