EDIT BY MOD: I asked an admin if this thread should stay open, because blatant advertising in a thread is not allowed. It's only acceptable for sigs. However, she said I could keep this thread open. This is just a notice. Carry on. :-*

This is a Final Fantasy IV Fan Game. You need a copy of Rpg Maker 2003 in order to play... but if anyone is interested here is the info:
Site: http://ff.kgne.net/

Set in Ivalice during the time of Final Fantasy 4, the game follows the story of Azrael, a dragoon of Baron, Lucien, a half-demon orphan from Mysidia, and Phae-Rel, an unbalanced psionic wanderer.
The game explores the religous and political aspects impacting the world that was only hinted at in Final Fantasy 4, with the backdrop of Azrael slowing realizing her powers as a time mage. The story was played as a Dungeons and Dragons campaign for over a year before we decided to make a game out of it, so the sotry is fleshed and the characters are well defined.
The synopsis of the story would take literally hours to tell, and will definitely over 30 hours playtime, with sidequests and minigames, in addition to boasting "The War of the Chosen", a climax to one episode of the story that will ambitously contain 32 characters.
In terms of technical detail, the game has the Dragoon class "Jump" command, fully working in the DBS, along with "Steal" and "Mug" commands, done without using the one round Stun trick, and allowing for both common and rare steals, a brand new CMS for Alchemists, a new type of shop very similar to the "Synth Shop" of Final Fantasy 9.
Most of the character sets were hand designed in the FF6 style and adapted to the maps. The chipset is the same, but has been upgraded to allow for new areas in addition to ALL of the original locations from the Japanese hardtype version, the original cd quality soundtrack with minor replacements from the "Celtic Moon" cd and other FF themes.
And as far as the game itself, progress at this point is over 18 %. Most maps are done, main battle character sets are complete, the systems are 90% complete, and all skills/animations have been laid out. We've been working on this a year now, so hopefully we'll be wrapping it up in the next couple of months, eventing is all that seems left. The game already has about 6- 7 hours playable, with opening sidequests, etc. We'd love to hear what everyone thinks of our work. We also have a website with screenshots, and information.

Before you came here, I had already played the demo and some of the members here had too.
Sorry, I did tell others about it without any permission or asking the makers including you, at least I didn't post the address on the Forums but through PM I did tell some. Since you came here to advertise, maybe it was OK? I hope so....

Anyway, the demo was great, made me wonder how long you guys had been working for it and I didn't know RPGmaker could make a pretty good game.

Oh, so everyone, you should play the demo, it's worth doing it, you won't get dissapointed, peace.

no not at all, and thank you very much :D To answer your question, almost 2 years we have been working on the game. Between devloping storyline through D&D Campaign, making the chipsets through screen shots lol and creating charactersets, code... the jump code took months to create and months to perfect, but we made it so well, we have enimies that can even use it ~_^ There is some voice acting through narration, where we held auditions... and got someone very good to do the part. There is about 8 hours playable, but it will be a normal 40 hr, final fantasy game at least, with sidequests and minigames. Most of the time that has taken us to get as far as we have, has been mapping the entrie world, working on systems, and adding new ones like a alchemest shop.

The good thing about this game, I think, is you don't feel that "your FF image" is ruined. Generally when you play a fan game, it feels like they just have made bull$h!t story up.
When I played this game, I almost forgot it was made by FF-fans, just like myself(not really, but in terms of being a "Fan").
It's probably the best fan FFgame ever.
One more question, how many people have been working on it?

Is she Azrael?
I don't know what you are going to use it for, so I can't really say anything but anyway I think she should have a blue armour which I saw in the demo.
Hey, I noticed something is wrong with her underwear, did you mean to put it like that?
