Do any of you here like Let's Plays? If so, I have a question:

Why?

I've only been able to gather more reasons NOT to watch them than to watch them. But that's just me. Their widespread popularity is a phenomenon that baffles me so... Someone please enlighten me?

I've only been able to gather more reasons NOT to watch them than to watch them. But that's just me. Their widespread popularity is a phenomenon that baffles me so... Someone please enlighten me?

The only LP's I ever watched were by a gamer called pcgamer999 (who unfortunately no longer does them). The reason why I personally watched them was because he was absolutely hysterical, exactly the kind of humor I enjoy. But that's just me. For me it was comedy/entertainment.

I don't get why people prefer to watch a game passively... except if they don't own the game or even the system, of course. But I find it rather boring, to be honest...
