behold the power of music!
has music ever influenced you to go out and do something? or has it changed your mood when youve listened to it or changed your mind about something?

Yes, definitely.
I always listen to music before sports games or something, I guess it inspires me. It doesnt always make me do something, but it makes me WANT to do something. It always changes my mood, depending on what im listening to! ;)

Whilst listening to Soundgarden's 'Superunknown' album, I wanted to clean the whole house, and make it more or less spotless, so I did. The abum just made me feel, so energetic, but I couldn't leave the whole til someone else came back. So I cleaned, like I'd never cleaned before.

Oh god yes.
I don't know so much about the inspiring to do something, but music always seems to alter my mood. I actually generally have songs assigned to different moods, so when I'm really sad about something, I'll listen to a certain song, when I want to be calmed down, I listen to a certain song, when I'm really happy, there are songs that make me revel in that emotion...
I remember one time a couple months ago, Merl and I were walking somewhere, and we had a little fight about something really stupid. Can't remember what. And when we walked inside our destination, some cheesy old early 90's love song was playing, and we both looked at each other and apologized. It was like a scene from a bad romantic movie.

Yes, music ususally rev's me up. Get the confidence going, you know? I can';t think of anything especially poignant, but I generally listen to music all the time, so it obviously influences me a lot.

Sure sounded like it by your description.
Yeah, that's basically the only reason I'll listen to music at all. To either go with the mood I'm in at the time or to change it. Which is another reason I have an intense dislike for "Hip-hop" and "pop" and most "country", they tend to evoke emotions of "kick some random bitch's ass/shoot some random bastard for not paying some imaginary debt they owe me/rape, pillage and burn cos cops are crooked", "hop along as if in some meth-induced giggle mood/kill self because life just sucks", or "shoot yourself in the head, cos your wife has left you/shoot your wife, cos she left you/shoot the bastard she cheated on you with/get drunk until you pass out with some random person/Hur-hur patriotic idiot song which expresses sentiments that don't have a damn thing to do with true American ideals/let's pretend we're listening to a gospel song, nevermind the fact that we're talking about doing stuff that Jesus fashioned a whip and drove people out of the temple for doing" kind of thing, respectively.

Rezo probably listens to some sort of random japanese song, before using his social power here to influence a competition of some sort, and then set fire to me.
Anyways.
Sometimes I just need certain songs to get out of the house. I cue it up on my ipod and set it to play the second I step out. It works. Well.
