Thank you Erich. Is noteworthy how King Arthur and all the legends around it had so many interpretations over the time. Besides those soundtracks listed there are even the adaptations of Camelot the movie based from the musical and the Camelot TV series, the animations Quest for Camelot and The Sword in the Stone, the King Arthur film, the Monty Python comedy movie, and probably many more adaptations.
From movies to TV series, and comedies to dramas, it seems that almost every genre has an adaptation of the King Arthur legends.

By the way what a rarity Arthur of the Britons i can`t wait to listen what Bersntein did !

Trust me when I say that in this case Bernstein’s Theme is the least interesting piece of material in this Spectacular score, I LOVE Bernstein but I must agree with Paul Lewis when he said that his theme is a bit more adequate for a Western, and he was suggesting to Lewis the use of an Electric Bass!

Bernstein was a Genius, but he was human too, we all make mistakes.

I thought that Arthur of the Britons was an Elmer Benstein score but just found out now that is only the main theme. It is a good theme but i agree that it sounds a bit out of place. It’s more like a theme to an western movies rather than to a medieval tale.
Even the score doesn’t evoke much a medieval flavored style, but i guess it’s because i’m still not used to this composer Paul Lewis as it’s the first time i’m listening something by him. Anyway it’s always interesting to hear a new composer.
