Excellent collection!
Your new offer is a real treat, my friend.
"Der Sturm" was written when Erich Wolfgang Korngold was only sixteen!
Thank you so much!

He composed Der Strum scored for full orchestra and chorus and which is here receiving is first recording and performance- for the music was never published. It is an important discovery.

No piano sketch exists and it appears to have been composed directly into full score.... yes, written at the gentle age of 16.

Funny how everyone keeps calling it "Der Strum". It's "Der Sturm" (the storm). But a very nice selection!

I believe Richter has not just "an impression" of Korngold's composing: he lives with in in his soul. I'm more than grateful for your sharing his four recordings, Phideas: it is a deep and essential action. I had only two of his CDs... and they vanished. May I relieve my life with these unpretentiously best and most revealing of Korngold's records? Thank you!
