Bit of a personal backstory to this particular release. Been waiting a LOOOONG time for this one, and there's quite a history. I pre-ordered it back in March the day after my birthday, a present from myself to myself. Mondo said this would not ship out until the 2nd week of May. Well, as May drew to a close, and as I had yet to receive it, I emailed them asking what was going on. They told me that it wasn't even pressed yet, and this was now going into June. I was not happy, but I'd rather a quality-pressed LP over some shitty rush job. I moved at the end of June. I put in a change of address at the post office. A few weeks back, I checked USPS.com and they claim a pink slip was left at the house, telling me to pick it up at the post office. No pink slip came, not at my new house or old. Went to the post office, they didn't have it. So it was sent back to Mondo. 2 weeks later (yesterday), I got the damned pink slip that they were supposed to have given me 2 weeks prior. ANYWAY, I picked this up yesterday and when I got home I was reluctant to open it, my attitude on the whole thing was "whatever". I slit my knife down the side and pull disc 1 out of the jacket and wouldn't you know it, it's the limited edition Blue/White swirl variant. God answered my prayers. Enough rambling, just know that the long wait and all the trouble I had to go through to get this was totally worth it. It sounds amazing, and looks delicious spinning on my turntable. I had said it looked like a blue cake with white frosting, and thus Mr. Merrick coined the term "Gravity Cake". :D
