"Hungry Eyes" is a song performed by Eric Carmen, a former member of the band Raspberries, and was featured in the film Dirty Dancing (1987).
It was written by John DeNicola and Franke Previte.
The song was recorded at Beachwood Studios in Beachwood, OH in 1987.
"Hungry Eyes" peaked at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and #3 on the Cash Box chart in 1988. The song was not released commercially in the UK, but it managed to peak at #82 in January 1988, having charted purely on import sales.
"Hungry Eyes" played a prominent role in the movie "Dirty Dancing"; it served as the background music for the scenes where Johnny (Patrick Swayze) and Baby (Jennifer Gray) were bonding as he was teaching her how to do ballroom dancing

THE MOVIE VERSION
The movie was set in the '50s or early '60s so the synths have been mixed down so they wouldn't be as obvious that they were recorded in the '80s.
The saxophone part was also different as well. It wasn't included on the album version.
The extra sax solo was something overdubbed later by Jimmy Ienner, used to create a specific mood at that point in the film.
Using the "Dirty Dancing" BluRay as source material, I was able to extract a decent copy of "Hungry Eyes" from the movie. Using a few editing "tricks", I was able to restore the missing section which was originally overlaid by dialogue.
So here it is, the complete movie version of "Hungry Eyes" (with saxaphone solo).
The lyrics follow below.
Enjoy.

MOVIE LYRICS
I've been meaning to tell you
I've got this feelin' that won't subside
I look at you and I fantasize
You're mine tonight
Now I've got you in my sights
With these hungry eyes
One look at you and I can't disguise
I've got hungry eyes
I feel the magic between you and I
I wanna hold you so hear me out
I wanna show you what love's all about
Darlin' tonight
Now I've got you in my sights
With these hungry eyes
One look at you and I can't disguise
I've got hungry eyes
I feel the magic between you and I
I've got hungry eyes
Now I've got you in my sights
With those hungry eyes
Now did I take you by surprise
I need you to see
That you were meant for me
I need...
Hungry eyes
Now that I've got you in my sights
With my hungry eyes
Got you in my sights
Hungry eyes
Hungry eyes
Hungry eyes
Hungry eyes
