I love Christina Aguilera, Delta Foodrem, but also Within Temptation (dutch band) and I listen to game music like Final Fantasy and Tomb Raider and anime music (sailormoon)

My current favorite music type is EDM. Trance and breakbeat especially. Some stuff I really hate, though, like hardcore dance and techno.

Before this I was into country. I still like that, but I'm just finding out about EDM and it's so uber awesome cool to me at this point.

When it comes down to it I like any type of music as long as the particular song sounds good to me. I don't discriminate genres, bands, etc.

You know I respect your opinions on music and that I also like the Mars Volta, but I'll be PMing you about this overration shenanigans. I'm listening to Frances the Mute right now, although I prefer De-Loused in the Comatorium, and I can honestly say that it is good but it's far from spectacular. Anyway, I'd probably include them in my top twenty bands but they definitely aren't my number one, although that's not to say I won't get their new live album.

I can listen to any genre of music except rap. I hate rap, it is the sorriest excuse for music ever made in the history of mankind. Anyone that listens to rap is a retard that needs to be shot and killed. Seriously, nobody wants to hear about a black guy being a thug and screaming about who he killed or fucked last night or cocaine or marijuana or clubs or booze or whatever. You can't spell crap without rap.

anything that is complicated. i dislike any straightforward minor/major jibberish, wich rules out -pretty much- all popmusic, reggae, stuff like that.

i'd dig any musician that tries to make something different, and im not talking "hey'arr that drummar in AC/DC be one y'arr crazi skinbeatar! arr!", but most kinds of progressive stuff, from jazz, through prog, to death metal. from hiromi uehara and chick corea, through mr bungle and cynic, to meshuggah and spawn of possession.
