San Diego Symphony | STAR TREK (2009) - MOVIE PRESENTATIONWITH LIVE ORCHESTRA SOUNDTRACK (

Star Trek (2009) Feature Film Screening with Live Music for Comic-Con - YouTube (
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eXLvCEa1Zzw)
For a million space bucks, you can watch the 2009 JJA reboot of Stark Trek with the San Diego Symphony performing live for the feature film presenation.
AND MICHAEL GIACCHINO WILL BE THERE!!!
and actor Jon Cho.
It would be aweomse if there was a blu-ray release of this performance with studio-quality recordings.
Minus all the ambience from performing outside (the crowds, air, wind, planes, etc).
Like an isolated score, per se.
It would go perfect with the upcoming re-release of the first to JJA films on BD.
Star Trek: Into Darkness is getting a re-release in a dual-boxset: The Compendium.
Only this time it will have THE IMAX ASPECT RATIOS!!!
Star Trek: The Compendium Blu-ray (

I just saw on Intrada today (haven't looked in awhile), but they're (VS) is going to release Into Darkness DELUXE EDITION in August!
I haven't looked at the forums here (too far back). So maybe someone already announced in an existing STID thread. :noonecares:

Actually, it released yesterday (somewhat unexpectedly). Mine ought to arrive within the next week, but others will get theirs probably within the next couple of days.

Yes. I saw. It contains a few new tracks and better sound. It is still not complete. Apparently, the few remaining missing tracks are...missing. Even Mancina cannot find them, so, not gonna happen..

Whaaaaaaaaaaaa...
It's not even that old.
I mean, it's not like 1982 where the tapes are supposedly gone...

In the release notes, they say Snow combed through everything he wrote in the year before and after or something and could find no trace of the missing tracks. Apparently it was a big search, and was intended to be a complete release, but no luck.

That's too bad.
Still worth it if only for the remastered audio.
I lost my CD years back.
Maybe. I might have the CD but no case or anything. Maybe.

If anyone can upload a recording of this concert, or any live performance audio of this score that would be great. If you need some help synchronizing the recording to the Blu Ray, PM me.
