Happy to hear, hope you enjoy it.

Just a head's up - my turntable was on drugs last night, I have no idea what was going on. Side C sounds like shit, I think I have to rip it again :/

This is a terrific share, but I have to agree with you. Side C doesn't sound good. So does tracks A3 and A4 from side A and B2, B3 and B4 from side B.

Side D is perfect ;)

I knew it. I have no clue what was going on with it Tuesday night. Last night I ripped The Book of Eli (that one will be posted soon), and it all came out flawless - it sounds great. I'll re-do this later, if I'm up to it. You've no idea how time consuming it is to rip an LP, import into Audition, split the tracks, tweak the audio, export, and then upload. It's a process, but I hope it's worth it to people.

I know what you mean. 11 years ago I transferred some audio cassette tapes to digital. I'm talking about those 90 mins cassettes. Man, that was grueling! Of course, now I'm very thankful for doing that because neither the tapes or the equipment I used survives today. Even if it had, I wouldn't have the patience to do it.

I preordered Gravity the day after my Birthday, March 13th. Mondo stated it was to ship out the 2nd week of May. When I didn't have it then, I emailed them and asked wtf the deal was. They said it was still being pressed and they were working on it. I got an email today saying it finally shipped. We're in the 2nd week of July. 2 fucking months later. However, I did end up getting the Dilophosaurus print of Jurassic Park, so I'm happy about that. Still pissed off about Gravity, though.

Hey I'm not trying to be ignorant, but why is there a love for vinyl? There's lots of downsides, I'm wondering what are the pros that make people interested in it? I love to learn, so this isn't sarcastic. I love to understand new points of view. Thanks in advance.

Are you young? Lol. Vinyl just has a very different, dynamic sound. And there is no higher quality than vinyl. Sure, you can get FLAC from (most) CDs, but vinyl FLAC? forget it.

It's also a generational thing. If you grew up with vinyl, you tend to stick with it. At least I do. It's fun to take a record out of the sleeve, pull off the jacket, lay it down on the turntable and drop that needle. And the jacket is another thing. Some are gatefold (double-albums, because there's 2 LPs), which means they open like a book. And some have exclusive features. The Rolling Stones' Sticky Fingers is a pair of pants with a real metal zipper that you can unzip. Zeppelin's Physical Graffiti has different views in the windows depending on which side of the sleeve you put in the jacket, and each image changes as you pull it out. Vinyl is just fun that way :)

Actually the first piece of equipment I saved and bought with my own money was a record player. But what I remember was records getting scratched, and I am no audiophile so I have no idea if the sound quality is that great or not. That's why I wanted to hear from others. Thanks :)

Amen, brother. Vinyl is much more engaging than CD. It 'feels' more special. That, and the fact that, even though I don't really support the best quality sound statement, I do love to listen to vinyl because of it's character; something I feel CD's and Digital sorely lacks...

FINALLY giving this another shot, fingers crossed it records nicely. If not, I'm giving up and throwing the LP over the off-ramp on my way to work tomorrow morning. It'll stil be 24-bit, but I've changed it to 48kHz. Maybe recording at 96k was the problem to begin with? Idk, probably not. Let's just hope it works ;)

I don't think this is a 24bit/96khz vinyl rip but a 16bit/48khz rip. Will you create a new vinyl rip of John Williams - Jurassic Park (20th Anniversary Mondo Vinyl) [FLAC] in either 24bit/96khz or 32bit/192khz? I would appreciate it.

What you think is irrelevant, because DAK did indeed do the rip at 24/96. Not that it makes a difference.

Also, DAK doesn't do vinyl rips anymore.

It was last summer, I don't remember what I ripped it at.

And it's not that I "don't do vinyl rips anymore", it's that I stopped doing them until I get a turntable that was built to rip vinyl at an audiophile quality. Not the piece of crap I have now. That's more meant for just listening.

Unless it's converted from a 24/96, a 16/48 won't sound roughly the same as a 24/96.
