I'll bet Hopie hid it. My dog Drew used to do that with my socks.

I questioned her under bright light, she was tight muzzled. THEN, I said no more treats, she caved in, and told me the location. I know her weakness, junk food.

You got to love a loyal dog that will not roll over on you! Well, until the treat bag comes out :)

He was a great dog (a golden retriever) when he wanted to get into bed with us, he would get between us, place his back against mine, then push my ex-wife away LOL Good dog, good boy!

I watched a real classic Sci-Fi last night, Creature from the Black Lagoon. I did not remember, that it came out in 1954, so it 60 years old. The Creatures STILL looks real, even at 60. I saw it was originally in Polarized 3D. I saw 3 movies in the early 80's in Polarized 3D, only Friday the 13th Part III was good 3D, and it was the ONLY redeeming quality about that movie.
What made the movies look good, were up to the projectionist having the projectors aligned just right. I have not watched the newer movies in 3D. Just don't care for a headache.

A great movie for sure, even for being 60 years old!

I saw the House of wax in 3D once, and yeah it did give me a headache! The newer ones I have seen have not left me with any headaches, just sore nose and ears (I ware glass's) so those newer 3D glass's are hard for someone that does ware glass's.

While watching the Creature from the Black Lagoon, I noticed that the intro music is the same as Tarantula. But, really Creature came out first, in 1954, Tarantula, 1955. Also, the end theme from Tarantula was used in Monster on the Campus, 1958. I know was standard to reuse music, and I would never really noticed, except being a soundtrack fan.

True! in more ways then one :)

In fact we (humans) don't see in 3D! so using 3D in movies is just another way of getting more money out of us...I'll pass to.

I just watched Godzilla, King of the Monsters, starring Raymond Burr, and guest starring Godzilla. I need to see the original cut, but, not a fan of subtitled movies. The Burr scenes were too much of a distraction from the KILL, KILL, DESTROY, DESTROY scenes. I have not seen the 2014 movie. I will wait and see the DVD, which comes out September 16th. An expanded version is planned in the future, and that might be the one for me to get. No hurry.

Another movie to pick at, First Spaceship on Venus. I like this movie alot, even tho it was edited down from the original movie, Silent Star. I just downloaded Silent Star, the subtitled German language movie. The changes made to the edited version, are the music changed to pieces of cues from other movies, and more so cuts against the nukes dropped on Japan. But, in the propaganda edits, were background/flesh out of the characters, which did effect the mood of the movie. Now when I watch First Spaceship on Venus, I now understand more what is going on. As a fan, I bought the model of the spaceship, the Cosmostrator.

Also, right now, I am working on two models from the series, one is 16 inches tall, the other, counting the base, is 24 inches tall.

Ion drives have alot of promising features...

Ion thruster - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ion_thruster)

An ion thruster is a form of electric propulsion used for spacecraft propulsion that creates thrust by accelerating ions. The term is strictly used to refer to gridded ion thrusters, but may often more loosely be applied to all electric propulsion systems that accelerate plasma, since plasma consists of ions. Ion thrusters are categorized by how they accelerate the ions, using either electrostatic or electromagnetic force. Electrostatic ion thrusters use the Coulomb force and accelerate the ions in the direction of the electric field. Electromagnetic ion thrusters use the Lorentz force to accelerate the ions. In either case, when an ion passes through an electrostatic grid engine, the potential difference of the electric field converts to the ion's kinetic energy (in the reference frame of a spacecraft).

According to Edgar Choueiri ion thrusters have an input power spanning 1–7 kilowatts, exhaust velocity 20–50 kilometers per second, thrust 20–250 millinewtons and efficiency 60–80%.[1][2]

The Deep Space 1 spacecraft, powered by an ion thruster, changed velocity by 4.3 km/s while consuming less than 74 kilograms of xenon. The Dawn spacecraft has surpassed the record with 10 km/s.[1][2]

The applications of ion thrusters include control of the orientation and position of orbiting satellites (some satellites have dozens of low-power ion thrusters) and use as a main propulsion engine for low-mass robotic space vehicles (for example Deep Space 1 and Dawn).[1][2]

Ion thrusters are not the most prospective type of electrically powered spacecraft propulsion (although in practice they have worked out more than others).[2] Technical capabilities of the ion engine are limited by the space charge created by ions, that limits the density thrust (force per cross-sectional area of the engine) at a very small level.[2] Therefore ion thrusters create very small levels of thrust (for example thrust engine Deep Space 1 approximately equals the weight of one sheet of paper[2]) compared to conventional chemical rockets but achieve very high specific impulse, or propellant mass efficiencies, by accelerating their exhausts to very high speed. However, ion thrusters carry a fundamental price: the power imparted to the exhaust increases with the square of its velocity while the thrust increases only linearly. Normal chemical rockets, on the other hand, can provide very high thrust but are limited in total impulse by the small amount of energy that can be stored chemically in the propellants.[3] Given the practical weight of suitable power sources, the accelerations given by ion thrusters are frequently less than one thousandth of standard gravity. However, since they operate essentially as electric (or electrostatic) motors, a greater fraction of the input power is converted into kinetic exhaust power than in a chemical rocket. Chemical rockets operate as heat engines, hence Carnot's theorem bounds their possible exhaust velocity.

Due to their relatively high power needs, given the specific power of power supplies, and the requirement of an environment void of other ionized particles, ion thrust propulsion is currently only practical in space.

My question is, which causes the greater logistical challenge ... What you have to feed the hamsters, or what comes out, AFTER you feed the hamsters?

I guess that's why the wheel is made of mesh ... it's a pass-through wheel...

They have made some good ones for sure! The original Sci-Fi channel started that way and built up a very good standing, that is until Comcast (Universal) bought them out! lets hope The Asylum does not go the same way.

From what I understand the golden arches is the worlds largest beef buyer in the world! thou no one has ever said what beef they buy! whatever it is, is not normal beef that's for sure! personally I like CJ's (Carls Jr's, or back East it is called Hardee's) at lest there burgers have taste and are broiled, instead of the golden arches which is fired in it's own fat.

They have been doing that for years now! all meat products sold in the major stores today use steroids! the only way around that is buying your own calf and have it raised on a all natural farm, then having it butchered. Yeah I spent my summers (until I was 18) on my grand parents ranch, picking and turning grapes trays (Thompson seedless grapes, there known as Sun Maid Raisins) and shucking almonds (you use a long pole, grab a branch and shack it until all the almonds fall down to the ground...a very dirty job), feeding the horse's, cows and chickens, and taking care of the garden. We had a small garden in our back yard as a kid, love my veggies :)

Those were hard working days, but, well worth it. I do miss working in the garden with my Mother.

I have bought many of The Asylum movies at Wally World, for $5. A lot of well known actors AKA down on their luck, needs a job.

I have been watching Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea the series. It still holds up almost 50 years later. The Seaview and Flying Sub are still my favorite subs. Since I like to play with editing music, I'm playing around with cutting the dialogue and a lot effects out to make suites from certain episodes. Nothing fancy, just for fun. Since the software will not work on double mono tracks AKA Stereo, I just pick at the tracks and more so, I find some easy to listen background music.

Outside Godzilla, Raymond Burr was good. However, for a foreign film studio to patch together a film which already had a fair amount of stock footage in it, to include new actors was, in my opinion, pushing it. Although it would be a blast if someone went back to it and put together a miniature of Ironside's Van which could get picked up by a scaly hand and got half eaten, or something like that.
