If you purchase the whole album 13.99$, you can download the digital booklet...I hope that someone gets it. And I wonder if they took the crossfades out for the iTunes release? Also, if you want The Legacy Collection Lion King in a much better packaging, I found this on eBay. It's in a jewel case, I believe it's a Japanese import. Enjoy!

The two versions of the 1M2 cue looks to be the same in terms of musical ideas, they are just slightly different in orchestration/instrumentation.
Anything else interesting? The cue names are so different than what I've been seeing online, Mufasa's Death == Stampede Pt. 2 for example.

I wish it was a success, knowing that it has been so long. Sorry.

The library added restrictions on tons of items suddenly, including the score. I'll need to have what they call "valid research reasons" to view the item; and then I have to somehow smuggle in a camera and take pictures of the pages without getting caught, because we're not allowed to check it out anymore. I'm still in the process of figuring out what counts as "valid research reasons".

I wonder if studying the differences between Zimmer's composition style back in the 1990s and today would count. It would require them having a modern Zimmer score to 'compare' to.

It needs to be a perfect reason- as I got, virtually, only one try. I wonder what they'd think if the same person keeps coming back, requesting the same score, but with different 'research reasons' each time...

Yes indeed. There were camera's everywhere for yesterday's show, but nothing for Friday.

I don't remember seeing Lebo M mentioned on the lists there. I bet that was a real treat to have him there singing Circle of Life.

It was indeed. He very nearly tripped over when he came on stage but held it together. Pharrell Williams also appeared on the Saturday and sang "Happy" from Despicable Me 2.

It is a little bit different from the one in the physical CD but the contents overall are the same. Although I am making this available for everybody, I'd strongly recommend you to buy the actual album. Just so you know, I live in Brazil, and I got around to buying this around here. There in the U.S. you paid what would be about US$15,00, right? When converted from Real (the brazilian coin) to american dollars, I paid what would be about US$50,00 (or R$100,00, in reais). So yeah, I do strongly recommend this to ANY score lover, no matter where they live, if they live in the U.S. or on the other side of the world, it IS worth the money you'll spend.

That duduk? IIRC, that was a synth element, possibly a demo element (I only know this because the EPCOT track on the H-Z.com site uses the exact same duduk and that EPCOT score is all synth)

It's funny. More and more I see people share similar sentiments regarding the removal of that woodwind rendition of Simba's theme in the Legacy mix. I too felt disappointed by its omission, but I've gotten used to it over time since the set's release, and all the positives outweigh the negatives for me. I still get agitated by that cross-fade with Pumbaa's snorting, though. :P

That's easily reversed. I did so for my own listening experience (actually, I undid all the crossfades, which is why I kept the original leak).

Looks like the answer to that will be no. There will most likely be no more Legacy Collection releases which is a shame. I'd have loved to add Aladdin to my set, and I would have loved a proper "The Fox And The Hound" release.

It is. This release even contains a proper mix (in 1994 Jay Rifkin had the habit of mixing in demo elements diminishing some of the natural sounds)

I personally prefer the original mix a lot more than this one. The "Legacy Collection" mix sounds too harsh and is very close-sounding which is, in my opinion, not very appropriate for this animated film. And the "demo elements" you are talking about are just Zimmer's sample libraries, which he uses on every score, and a lot of it stays in the final mix, especially percussions.
