But yeah. I sorta played FFX and it was pretty cool, Kingdom Hearts on the other hand, i havent played, but heard the camera angle of it really sucks...

anyways.. yeah...i tried making a poll, but im sorta of a noobie here... i dont really understand how to create a poll.... sorry.

hmmm...... lets see. Kingdom Hearts or FFX. this is a toughie. they both have their good points. but i have to say FFX. to me the storyline for KH was a little to stereotype disney. but i suggest the second KH when it comes out beacuse its going to be a lot less childish. but enough about that. so my answer is.

FFX is the better choice. decent voice acting, good graphics & a beautiful storyline.

Personally, I find FFX to be a lot better than Kingdom Hearts. Maybe even the best Final Fantasy ever, but that is a stretch. Don't get me wrong though; KH is still a nice game, but I don't like it as much as FFX.

Besides, just steal one of them, and purchase the other.

It depends what sort of game you're looking for. Final Fantasy X is a wonderfully deep and engaging story, with more stats-based combat and realistic characters, while Kingdom Hearts is an action game with endearing characters and great for childhood memories. Don't get me wrong, it's not a kids game - it will still provide a challenge.

Personally, I would get Final Fantasy X first - but don't rule out Kingdom Hearts. Save up for it while you're playing FF10 :)

Anyone who knows me knows how much I dislike Kingdom Hearts with a passion.

Buy Final Fantasy X. It's infinitely more fun in my eyes. At least the characters are interesting, the music is good, the camera angles don't shift in the middle of battle, and your party members don't do the best job they can to kill themselves.

I preferd FFX, even though i thought it was crap.

I say get KH since it is more fun than FFX and kinda challenging plus you get to meet other FF characters such as Cloud, Tidus.... anyways yeah get KH much more up to date plus FFX is to quick to beat. Anyways it's your choice

Personally, I fell in love with KH storyline and musics....I liked everything, and I finished everything that can be done in one strait...because the game is so fun..the only thing that I didn't do was Tarzan slide something...and even after you completed the game, you can still do the game in expert mode. And you can customize hell lot of things...you can even create your own ''spaceship''.

But the things that I didn't like was the fact that Donal and Goofy always seems to want to kill themselves...and, there is the fact that you can't really give items to these characters, because they use them like they no tommorow...

But I am a fan of Final Fantasy X ....the choice is yours...

Prahaps you should hire out KH and see what it's like then decide ofter you have played them both.

If you mean closer to the FF original style, than FF10's battle system is closer, because it's still turn based.

No. Just alot of the times when I give an explanation, my experiance was people always debating back. I'm just afraid of that when I get tired of debating every now and then.

Well, I'll try; I guess seeing that you don't use something like the grid system where you have to wait for cerain abilities. I guess you do that in Kingdom Hearts too, but it doesn't look like a grid. I don't care if others like the other one better, but I don't like to fight over it. Thanks for soothing me alittle :).

you really can't compare the two because the style is completely different, but i liked ffx a lot better. i havent replayed kh since beating it, but i have played and re-played x.

Kingdom Hearts is a great game and I've spent many hours playing that over FFX but of course the childish look of it would turn many people of. However, Kingdom Hearts can take you quite awhile to finish it, it is a difficult game at times. No mere 8 year old would pass this game... or even beat Sephiroth. :(

Tidus and Selphie were alittle annoying in KH, but Wakka was okay.

FFX was a good game and I do like the other FF's too. I guess I though FFX(beating the game) was too easy, and if you just want to beat the game on either of them, and want alittle more of a challenge, I would go with Kingdom Hearts.

I just like FFX a little more (just a little), because aside from being a big ff fan, i just find its storyline to be more appealing. when u already have your savings, pls buy them both cos they're both cool! ^_^

Oh, and in FF10, you actually control the tactics of your entire party - in KH, your party fights for you. So get your facts straight, too.

Definately FFX, it's my fave game... Kingdom Hearts is just a mixture of kids fave disney charecters, diluted into a kinda stupid story line. too childish for me. FFX on the other hand is filled with emotion that made me crack for the first time in a long time with emotion.

kh all the way as they were both confusing games but the boss at the end of jh went forever and i rocked at it wiv a lot of skill so it was quite easy and it also had David boreanus as the voice of leon(a.k.a.squall)

FFX had better graphics, a deeper storyline...and it was a much harder game than KH. But you can't help but love KH. The main reasens for me were the colorful characters, humour, and cute storyline, and interesting battle system. But the most intriguing feature was the FF characters. I can't wait till KH2 comes to see what other FF characters will be brought to life with great voice actors. I don't really care who they are, as long as they make the characters beleivable, know what I mean?

On the other hand, FF10 was hard and frustrating at times. Most of the time if I couldn't beat a boss I would quit playing the game for a while but then come back to it again, later beating the boss. But sadly, I haven't beaten the game yet..I'm still at Yunalesca. And what pissed me off the most in this game was the horrendous sphere grid sytem. It can burn in hell.

Play both, but play FFX first, as Raidenex said, you will like the older Tidus and Wakka more in FFX than Kingdom Hearts, well maybe not Tidus(too whiny). They are way more annoying in Kingdom Hearts...

I like Kingdom Heats, but FF-X is a lot better in my opinion. KH is more of a fun game, and a mix of Adventure and RPG. FF-X is just an RPG, and that is what I prefer. ;)

Kingdom Hearts is also a kind of linear, when you ask me. And there's not more to do than in FF X. They are just different, but I like them both the way they are. ;)

KH had a lot of FF elements, which made it what it is. But IMO, nothing is better than the original, so I say Final Fantasy.

I'd go with Kingdom Hearts, very fun game and easy to get into. I had to force myself to finish FFX, battles were a snooze as well.

In short, get KH, trust me, you'll fall in love with the characters and the game. FFX, on the other hand...Tidus' whining does not serve the ears a lot of justice. Enough said.

Buy Final Fantasy X though.........it has over 100 hours of gameplay (including sidequests) and is just better.

If you prefer an engaging story over gameplay then I'd say get FFX. It has an extremely slow start, but once you get into the story it's very entertaining.

If you're looking for interesting gameplay, you should get Kingdom Hearts. FFX's gameplay can be so boring that you might find yourself wishing you could skip half the battles. Kingdom Hearts on the other hand has a moderately paced battle system that actually requires you to pay attention to what you're doing.

I'm a person who enjoys a good story over gameplay. So much so that I generally don't play action/adventure games. But Kingdom Hearts had such a fun battle system that I bought it despite the simple storyline.

I would break it down like this: if you are a man who enjoys something deep, that you can really sink your teeth into, get FFX; but if you want the best damn disney movie you've ever seen (and also want to see some panty wetting exciting cameo's) get KH.

I really don't see how anyone could say that FFX's battle system is boring and that KH's is action packed. FFX takes some thinking to master (Oh no!) yet in KH's all you have to do is hit X over and over not even thinking, maybe stopping for a strike raid or Curaga. FFX's deep storyline is one of the best I've seen. I consider both FFX and Kingdom Hearts to be linear yet both have fun and a few annoying (Damn Chocobo Races!) sidequests. FFX>KH

I own both games. This is my reccomendation...
If you love to play uber long games, with an incredibly indulging, and interesting storyline, go buy FFX.
But, if you want pacy action you are in complete control of, and you want a different type of experience, go for KH. KH also has a highly original story (if you have bothered to play it...). My choice is KH because of the sheer originality of the game, and how brave Square was to collaborate with DISNEY of all people. And the battles, where you aren't restricted to doing attack, get hit, use item. In KH, it is perfectly legal to actually get out of the way of attacks (wheras in FF it is very rare you dodge).
For me...
KH>FFX.

Here is the reason I say Kingdom Hearts is way less linear than FFX:

- You can often choose which world you want to go to next
- You can skip certain worlds entirely
- More subquests and side-activities are generally available at any given time

If you want a game with a deep story buy FFX (although its incredibily linear) but if you want a fun game without the linearness of ff10 buy kh , its that simple.

finalfantasy 8 Rocks, after reading some of your replies, I was wondering if you could make more 'intelligent' comments or constructive critisim.

In other words, say why you prefer Kingdom Hearts to FFX.

Also, KH excels in voice acting far more then FFX in terms of quality, and not quantity. I mean, sure, FFX has almost every character with a voice over, but they were all sub-par, if not, horrible. KH only uses voices in important scenes but it was pure quality, Billy Zane was born to do Ansem's voice, it was perfect!

kingdom hearts is just more fun, and it have's Final Fantasy, in it, so yeah =)

i hate u for this but they are both my favorite games. but i guess final fantasy X. get X it has the best everything but kingdom hearts did have a hot fighting system. o and the camera aint as bad as there making it out to be

Sure, it was to help decide which one the user should buy, but I sincerely doubt they actually gave a toss about people's opinions in the first place because they haven't made more then 8 posts, which generally indicates they haven't returned for a very long time.

Okay, so, yes, obviously the thread was originally about helping someone to decide between the two games, but now it would seem it's become sort of a catch-all for people to debate which they like better.

As a Die-Hard Final Fantasy fan, dedicated to Final Fantasy VII-X, I personally thought that KH, while not being a bad game, does not file as a Final Fantasy. Calling it a FF based game, IMO, is less than accurate. The FF style of gaming has always focused on story line, and in general intense game-play. You knew it was a FF game when you found yourself getting genuinely furious at Sephiroth, somehow little black mickey mouse characters don't freak me out like they used to... All in all though KH isn't my kind of game it's not poorly done either.

I would strongly advice you to get Final Fantasy X because it is a way better game. Kingdom Hearts is a mere spin-off of Final Fantasy; however, if you get more money, get Kingdom Hearts because it is a good game. It was a little on the kiddy side for me being that it was from Disney, but I still enjoyed it.

i think ffx and kingdom hearts are both good, they both have good fmvs, battle system, and especially the story, so both of them are fine.

Which to choose from? Well, I guess I'll throw my lot in with FFX... and even then I do so with a slightly sour taste in my mouth. The only thing I liked about FFX was Auron. That's all.

Can't really be bothered with the rest of the game... or Kingdom Hearts as I'm not a fan of that damned 'Mickey Mouse' organisation.

FFX and kingdom heart are both GD games. But kingdom heart is a bit more of a comical game. FFX is a bit weird in places. So i don't know.

Hmmmmmmmmmm... ffx is great but kh has cool worlds and monsters....so i would say ffx the graphics are great and the gameplay is awsome so get it =)

i love both of those games but KH was alot better in my opinion.. i loved the battle system and storyline.. i dont like the battle system of FFX because of the pokemon style monster battles. i hate random battles when your tryin to walk! KH was prob an easier game for me but i liked it better still.. the extra bosses in kingdom hearts are also BEATABLE but the extra bosses in ffx were just rediculous! In KH the story is more of a "go were you want and do what you please" because you didnt have much of a set path.. and you could also return to visited places whenever you wanted, in ffx you needed to wait till near the end to return to places. Ive seen pics of sephiroth from FFVII (even though i havent played it) and sephiroth looks SOOO much better in KH!!! Sephiroth is the coolest on KH with his really long sword and one wing.. he has lightning speed! and his opening is pretty kewl too, and his music!! KH wins hands down!

FFX is better long-term i think, it is one of the most deepest RPG's ever - it's well worth a buy (but you knew that already)

KH has more playable characters as well. i cant wait till KH2 comes out!

FFX were it's a real RPG great graphics and camara angle with a great story line and characters with lovable bits in the story line.
On the other hand KH with stupid disney characters rubbish worlds and a rubbish storyline with all the ff characters in it turned into a piece of crap and stupid villians.

Now it's simple to know which one to buy, ffx and i'm not going to wate my money on KH and KH2 and niether should you two

Kingdom Hearts was the first game that I've played and finished since I've bought the Ps2, so this game was one of the memorable one. Well they share the same graphics, but when it comes to the storyline, I kinda choose FFX, and the camera angle for KH sure sucks! But still I really like them both! SquareEnix rocks!

definiteley kingdom hearts. Why-Because ff10 is not the best of final fantasys plus the kh battle system is great and once youve completed it then you can play it again and again and again and..................you get the picture
