Since you don't know who ripped it, does that mean we don't know the source? (ie, ripped from youtube or line-in recording of the game... or what)

I just add that disclaimer to all of my soundtrack posts, just in case. But this particular soundtracks was indeed ripped from the official website and it sounds pretty darn good for 256.

I haven't played the game yet (obviously) but do these tracks from the website play full song and loop? Or is it just a sample?

I believe they are all full loops, but there is no way to tell until the game is released.

There is no official soundtrack release. At least not yet, but hopefully there will be one.

They are not full loops. They are indeed samples. Specifically 1 minute samples.

Obviously if the loop happens to be less than 1 minute, then you are getting a full loop, otherwise, some of them are not looped fully. For example, DS Waluigi Stadium, N64 Royal Raceway, Rainbow Road, Bowser's Castle, N64 Toad's Turnpike, GCN Dry Dry Desert all do not play full loops (and any so-called 'extended' i.e. looped versions of these songs are really bad cropped loops by morons with no common sense).
