I just found out this interesting bit of news on FF Online. On October the 30th and 31st, 'A Night in Fantasia' - a classical concert of Nobuo Uematsu's FF music, along with some of Joe Hisaishi's Studio Ghibli anime themes is to be performed at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music; Sydney, Australia, with Nobuo Uematsu himself in attendance.

This is the site for further details: http://www.infinity8lue.com/events/anightinfantasia04/

No actual program information has been released at the moment, although I assume as the concert is spread over two nights, one night would be for FF, and the other for Ghibli-works.

All I know is, I'm going to do everything in my power to get to this concert, as I was somewhat envious of all the lucky US fans who went to the US Dear Friends concert earlier this year, and I don't want to pass up this unique opportunity! The real icing on the cake is Uematsu himself is going to be attending, although only as an audience member and not actually performing however.

This is awesome news for Aussie FF fans like myself who have been dying to see FF music performed live, and the added bonus of possibly meeting Uemtasu himself is just too appealing an opportunity to miss.

Anyone else interested in attending?

Oh, do go, do go!
Uematsu only sitting in the audience doesn't make the music any less awesome (as I am sure it will be) and it doesn't make him any less present. ;) He's an absolute sweetheart, try catch him before or after the concert, and get his autograph!

But the prices are evil, I believe... :(
