Hey everyone! I am a flightsimmer ;). I was a long-time lurker here and decided that it's time I introduce myself. :D

I've been searching for Doctor Who Soundtracks pre-Series 4 here and they were rather hard to find, but I finally found a source where someone released a FLAC Doctor Who soundtrack albums set from Series 1-7 incl. specials (private tracker).

I just listened to a few and they were absolutely beautiful :'( So beautiful that I had to come here and share it. I'm most likely getting the CD's too for physical archival purposes.

Anyways the contents seems to look good last time I checked, all contain CD cover art, .cue files and rip settings history. Tracks should be in order. From what I searched it seems some of these albums are in these forums, but have dead links. Consider this a re-upload for all tracks (and all credits to the rippers).

As of Jan. 18, 2016, I have decided to share the soundtracks on a request and receive via PM basis in an effort to preserve links. Unexpectedly, file detection weren't causing files to be removed, it was inactivity. Links were dying in as little as a few weeks even after changing file hash. This time all soundtracks will be stored in a Mediafire account, logged in weekly to ensure link survival. Mediafire has fast speeds so downloading should be a little quicker.

Just post here if you'd like the soundtracks link and I'll get to you within a day or two :) Still monitoring the thread as of January 2019.

Yea, the problem with the Doctor Who thread is that the member who started does not post anymore, and as you noted, everything on the first post is long dead. Many have been reposted throughout, but you'd have to read through to find them. I'd recommend starting at the latest post and working backwards. Many of the albums were just recently posted once again. Unfortunately the search function here basically sucks. Also, since the Original Poster is not here the new links can't be consolidated as he is the only one besides admin who can edit the first post.

The Star Trek thread worked around this by a member starting a Trek score resources thread. We could try that. But the op would have to commit to continuously maintaining and updating the first post and it's links. A lot of folks, myself included, get a tad tired of doing that and so the threads inevitably die and get buried....:(

Yep, definitely agree on the search function needing some improvements. I found that the 'search thread' option doesn't seem to sort the posts from latest to oldest, and was tedious to use. It did beat reading the mega thread backwards though. :cool:

I searched through the collection thread and found that most of the recent albums were unreleased rips. Not that they were bad (heck I even downloaded some of them xD), but they weren't the official CD albums that I was searching for.

There was nothing I could find of mentioning the official released soundtrack albums.

but being a few months old it was clear that the links were dead.

Basically this is why I created this thread. It continues the buried 2006-2011 thread but with the additional -2013 albums. I'd be willing to maintain the links on this thread for as long as possible, and maybe include the Series 8+ soundtracks when it's released (with given permission and credit of course, unless I choose to buy it) to keep things together.

In the event I don't manage to re-upload for a really long time, I guess someone could re-up the links on this thread or make a new one if there are multiple new albums added to it. I wouldn't mind a freshly created thread in place of a buried one. ;)
I like the idea of a DW resources thread so that would be even better :p

I can't really help with links, since I don't keep flac. I have 1-4 as discs but not after.

For Series 3 all links but 1fichier are down, probably due to inactivity. I'll probably do a link check soon and edit the working links in for ease of download.

Yea the links eventually go down due to reporting or inactivity. Collections take a while to upload but I'm doing the best I can ;)

Also got rid of the safelinking/complex link hiding tricks because links are going down due to inactivity. The download still leads to a text file though, which leads to actual link. Also included a random text file to change the hash of each RAR (previous links automatically go down due to file matching).

For those who don't want to bother with torrents, I updated all links again and included a new link to the post with the Day/Time of the Doctor soundtrack.
