ok here is my collection of 2.2 songs. All 20 of them. i didn't do what I did last time and remove reused 1.0 stuff. It was just much easier to give them all their proper tags (if they exist, and I didnt do the reused coil track because I don't know what it is called on the OST yet) Everything is identifiable based on its use in game as well.

A few small mistakes in the tags...Wrath of the eikons is the new dungeon final boss theme, phantoms on the lake is the dungeon boss theme. I forgot to tag Beneath Bloodied Banners (Halitali~Hard Mode Battle) and i believe the new coil music is just new layers on top of the existing music.

Hey, quick question, where the hell does this play? Masayoshi Soken - Unknown Track - Tindeck MP3 Download (
http://tindeck.com/listen/zbbz)
It was listed as "La Noscea~Town" on the rip, but I've been all over La Noscea and never heard it even once.
Aside from the "combined" tracks for Crystal Tower, Binding Coil, and Hard Mode Dungeons, and any 2.2 tracks that aren't Clash on the Big Bridge, this track in question was the only one in your XIV rips that doesn't appear to be on the official OST anywhere, at least as far as I can tell...

I haven't tracked that one down either.....It was in with the other data files for the la Noscea settlement themes in the .dat, so I just assumed it was one of the little village themes. Maybe it is tied to an event or something? I dont know. Ill let you know though if I do find something.

Huh. OK, then.
Also, is there any difference between the normal and Extreme version of "Good King Moggle Mog XII"? They both sound the same to me.

I don't think so. To be honest I didn't even listen. There was just some confusion (even on my end once i started listening to my rip) with what I did or did not remove last time so from this point on I'm leaving everything from the dat files in the rip, and just labeling them based on their usage. From the 2.1 dat files it just looks like the OST version of good king moggle mog is a combination of two seperate .ogg files, which the 2.2 dats plays them combined. No difference to the listener, only in how the music data is accessed per battle in game.
I was just a little ahead of myself this time and released the music before the patch itself was even live, so I messed up a few play locations. Wont do that again either haha.

As someone who actually plays FFXIV, I can answer this for you. The Instrumental version of King Mog's theme is for Phase 1 of the fight. Phase 2 chimes in the vocal version.
On the Before Meteor OST (King Mog was one of the "Primals" in FFXIV 1.0), the instrumental theme is named "Seven Jesters", a reference to the Mooglesguard themselves.
In other words, this rip has a duplicate track that is actually present not just in the previous patchrip (2.1 had it too), but the official OST of A Realm Reborn and the official OST of Before Meteor. That's like 4 copies of the same damn track.
EDIT - To whoever tagged this rip, your spelling sucks. It's "Halatali", not "Halitali". Also, Halatali's battle theme is "Beneath Bloodied Banners" on the Before Meteor OST.
I'd actually go as far as to say the only tracks that really belong in this rip file are both Leviathan themes, the Kobold/Sahagin Friendly Camps, Fat Chocobo Theme, Easter Theme, and the Binding Coil T6-8 theme. The battle theme of Coil is a replica of "Spiral" on the OST, and Return of the White Raven is actually "Meteor" on the 1.0 Soundtrack.

Darkraven, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it seems the archive is corrupted - when unpacking the archive WinRAR throws up an error dialogue saying something about 'unknown method' in all 21 files. I just thought I'd better let you know about this, as I wonder if anyone else is having this issue (I have no idea what might have caused it, as it downloaded fine).

Gee, way to be rude to both me and the uploader
FYI, I've been playing FFXIV since 1.0, and I have the Before Meteor soundtrack, so I know that "Seven Jesters" isn't "Good King Moggle Mog XII". I was asking if there was a difference between the OST version of "Good King Moggle Mog XII" and the version of his theme on in the rip. A simple "no" would have sufficed.

CujoFoxtar, Does your computer not allow you to delete files you don't want? Is your screen not working correctly and that stopped you from reading my post that I DID NOT REMOVE DUPLICATES. If you don't like it then find the rip somewhere else or do it yourself.

My apologies, I didn't read and was extremely hasty to reply. I was rather confused by the question asked by Jonah, since it was worded in a way where he didn't mention that bit about the official release of the song.
And @Jonah: Sorry I misunderstood your words and replied to what I thought was an uninformed post when in reality it was informed. In the future, could you at least clarify this? (Or perhaps I should simply not post... yeah, maybe that would be a better idea if something like this comes up again)

I don't know how jonah feels, but I was also a tad out of line with my post back to you. So I also apologize. I don't focus on accuracy of the tags or anything like that when i release something like this. I just make sure they work and share them. As fast as i can. You'll probably see more mistakes on future releases of mine, but i can almost promise I'll probably be the first one to post the newest FF14 music around here. So change a few hastily written tags and all should be well. Also just for FYI in case you havent ran the Lost City on FF14 ARR yet. I also swapped those tags on accident. And their position if you are obsessive like me in Ordering grouped tracks correctly.Phantoms on the lake is the boss theme (should be first) and Wrath of the Eikons is the Lost city final boss theme. I do the tagging the way i do just so people who want to know the songs usage in game can know. Kind of moot at this point since they are before meteor tracks and most people will delete them. if there are any large music updates though I may cut out duplicates to save downloading time for everyone here.

Here is a little sneak peak of what I started on tonight! Someone else might beat me to release though. Im going to be pretty busy the rest of the week and Im not sure when or if Ill have the time to finish. Here is one of the highly sought after 2.3 battle themes! This style was COMPLETELY unexpected. At least it was to me. It is beautiful though!

The pipe organ has me thinking Final Fantasy VI (6) for some reason... then again it was VI that introduced me to Ramuh (don't recall him in IV)...
Like the feel of this one, its different, which I think XIV music needs. Thanks for the taste of 2.3. :)

There's 3 tracks actually built into the PVP. You have the BGM, Battle, and the Transition (where you hear the symbol crash every few seconds to transition). it's the same done for the Haukke Manor Hard Mode and Blayflox Hard mode BGMs.
When I played with the data miner tool, it was all 3 in one track. I am not skilled enough to pull them into separate layers.

For those who wernt playing FF14 1.0 on shut down day, the song bgm_season_answers played all over with Dalamud in the sky so large that it almost looks like its only several feet off the ground. So yeah, it's the end of the world music. It's kinda boring out of context thanks to the style. Acapella, with MAX reverb. Sounds like a GIANT echo. But man......its epic in context. I remember that day SO well. All of my game friends and I saying goodbye to each other while in mor dhona staring at the sky. Just incredible.....

I know what you mean - I still remember logging into 1.0 on the last day completely unexpecting just how much Eorzea was going to hell in a handbasket, and Dalamud Answers only enhanced it - the version with the stormy FX is definetely preferable to the acapella version. Awesome stuff still nonetheless. :)
Anyway, thanks for uploading the 2.3 patch music darkraven. :D Incidentally, the track title for the Ramuh battle music was released on the Lodestone a while ago (complete with lyrics) - it's officially known as Thunder Rolls (Engrish for 'Rolling Thunder' maybe?). And of course the Syrcus Tower music is a new remix of FFIII's Crystal Tower fittingly. :D Once again, thank you for uploading this! ^-^
Please please please PLEAASEEE upload 2.38 - 2.4 music. <3 <3

Thread 182520
I cleaned up the rips and uploaded them here. Make sure to read the post before downloading, to make sure it's what you want. 1st post has the link to 2.2 to 2.4 rips, and my post at the bottom of page 1 has 2.5 part 1. Read that post too, because it explains how the 2.5 rip is just an addition of my other rip. Mods this thread can be closed, as the other link is more active and of more complete and/or better content!
