I am very happy when I hear that someone played FF7 after the other chapters, but still he7she considers the 7th as the best of all.

For me it was the first FF, and for you?

I am new of this forum, I say hello to everyone here, because I'm going to pst ONLY in the FF7 section, the greatest FF and the most inspired RPG of ever.
Sorry for the errors, I am Italian:)

Hey don't knock your spelling, it's better than most of the American and British degenerates we get in here!

I wouldn't go around shouting that about as someone will call you out on it sooner or later. It's not fun, as most can back up their opinions and have sharp tongues. Be warned.
But welcome!
And to answer your question FF7 was the first game I played but my personal favourite is FF8.

Ok, I would have said:

"In my humble opinion, FF7 is the RPG that gave me the greatest emotions... hoping that anyone won't get angry for this... In this case, I am sorry..."

Is it better now? :o
   (just joking)

I played 8, 9, 10, and 10-2 before I played 7. Since then, I've played 6 and am currently working my way through 5.

Out of all of them, 7 is my least favorite.

Anyhow, FFVII was my 4th Final Fantasy.

I was around 7(I think) when I first played it. Before that I played very little RPG games. I had to get my older friend to do it cuz I kept dying on the first boss(Roboguard or whatever)

When I look back I really sucked at RPG, but than again we all had to learn to play before we become good at them.

Even though 7 is one of my favorites it wasnt my first. FF 3 was my first. I played it when I was like 5. I also played 4 and 5 before 7.

FF7 was my first FF game to play. I remember when I was looking for a playstation game to buy, then I came across FF7. Some guy next to me said it was a very good game, so I was like "okay I'll give it a try." And that's how it happened! :)

At least those of us who didn't like it back up what we say. And the evidence supports us.

People might prefer other final fantasy's to final fantasy 7, but in my honest opinion final fantasy 7 isnt a "bad" final fantasy.

FFVIII was my least favourite FF. Mainly cuz of the junction system which made the game too easy. FFVII was my first Final Fantasy so if not for that then I probably wouldn't be playing the one's I got now. It isn't my fav FF as I said before but it's one of my respective FF's cuz it was my first one. It isn't really a bad game but there are better FF's.

How can you say the junction system made the game easy!? It was like a chemistry class and had too much to remember compared to all the other FF's.

It isn't that hard. I mean al you gotta do is draw magic junction it and then use it. At the start if you get 10 Tents you can then refine them into Curaga's. Put it in you HP and you already have like 3000. Draw 100 Dimi's from Diablos and you have awsome strength.

See, you beefed up before you really start. I had no problem with that system at all. The only hard part was the patience to draw 100 of a magic and re Junctioning after the Laguna dream sequence.

The drawing system is the easy part. But Jundctioning magic to status, having to refine this, to get that, to get this, to get that and this and that, and so on to get the requirements in the game, took forever, really alot to remember, it was really complex(compared to all the other FF's). It took me three games to figure out how the system worked. I'm a slower learner than others, but I learned it, and once I learn things, I'm good. But still, you shouldn't have to study and have all that to remember just to play and master a game.

Whats so hard about putting magic with a stat. I learned it first time through. I'll admit It took a little whil but after that I had no troubles with it.

Same here too, but the way I see it, it shouldn't take such a long time to learn how to play a game like that.

Yes, it was, and as much as I love it, I think the main reason its a lot of peoples' favorite is because nothing can replace that first RPG experience. You go from Mario Brothers to a game that can actually make you feel things! There will always be nostalgia.

Yeah, FF7 was my first FF:)
I completed it about two or three months ago. Now i'm in the middle of FF8. :)
I'm going to complete all of the Final Fantasy games, but I wont be able to complete FF-s from 1 to 6, cause I just don't have a Playstation :notgood:...

What do you mean?

Prak

You know... contradictory. You say all (and in bold print, to boot) then say you're not going to be able to play 1-6. It's oxymoronic.

And anyway, if you can play the later ones, you must have a PS2, right?

merxzzz
10-11-2004, 12:42 PM
Well...
Now come to think of it... it really is :p
But what I really wanted to say is that I'm going to complete all of the FF-s that can be played on PC.
Sorry, if i didn't make myself clear.
Like the guy who made this thread, english is not really the language i'm speaking every day... So... Sorry for the errors and stuff.

it was the first game i got with my ps and is my second fav as i couldnt wait for ff8 when it came out and it still is my fav

Pacific

First one was FF1. I played it with my sister and we both gave up half way.

Why??

Nothing wrong with the story and stuff (we didn't understand much anyway), but the battles took FAR too long. For example, you gotta wait 30 seconds to while casting a spell on 5 enemies because the animation speeds are simply so slow.

FF7 is the second one, although said to be relatively easy by RPG veterans, I'm not that much of a RPG person and it was hard enough.

I'm not too keen on starting a new FF for now. I'm just too lazy to learn completely new battle systems :P
