What was the most difficult boss any of u guys faced?

Demon Gate was prob the hardest in my eyes.

P.S i am at level 30ish is that bad to face demon gate at??? its a second time through so i am using other characters.

I think that Materia keeper was hard the first time around.

Demon gate is also one hard mofo

Hardest boss is Lost Number, from the aspect of where your levels are at normally at that point of the game.
Post well, and try not to get caught in Praks talons.
He eats FF7 fans with fava beans and a nice chianti.

The hardest boss for me was Emerald Weapon. It took me numerous attempts and prayers and castings of Final Attack and Phoenix to beat him. >_<;;;

In terms of the bosses you HAVE to fight, I guess that Carry Armour was right up there when my characters were at extremely wimpy levels. :(

Ruby was rock solid, but i managed in the end. perserverance is the key

I think the hardest boss was... either the Materia Keeper. I think that's his name, but if it isn't, it's the big blue Horn Beetle at Mt. Nibelheim. Or it was the Indian ghost at Cosmo Canyon.

The hardest weapon was DEFINITELY Emerald. I used a stragety that I got off the internet that worked AWESOME.

I also thought that emerald weapon was the hardest weapon.

Ruby was alot easier I found

The most difficult boss....I thought all of them were fairly easy except.....Emerald Weapon, Diamond Weapon, and the Proud Clod (Robot thing in Midgar after Diamond Weapon). Ruby was a piece of cake, but I've had the game for four years, and STILL haven't beat Emerald yet. Someone give me tips

Ruby was the hardest for me. There's this videoclip that shows Emerald being beaten in less than two minutes and also shows all the materia being used.

I didn't really find any other boss hard in the game since I levelled up far too much. All my characters were at least level 75 by the time I arrived at Cosmo Canyon.

For me thr hardest boss was demons gate and the hardest weapon fight would have to be emerald because the attacks r real strong and if u dont have the underwater materia u only get 20min. to kill it!

Lost Number is very hard when you first come across teh Shinra Mansion and all your characters are pretty weak. Worse is when you get the fighting second half, he throws strong punches at you and often gets 2-3 punches before you get a turn. The magic half was much easier to deal with for me.

Demon Gate is very hard when you first play the game, I remember having to battle him atleast 9 times before I won. Magic isn't of any use, so the bast strategy (well for me anyway) is Haste your party and slow him, you will have more time to heal yourself and counter his attacks.

Carry Armor, not directly increadible hard, but more annoying really, when picking up two of your party members. THe only way to get them back is attack the arms, which -does- hurt them, often killing them trying to free them.

i had trouble with demon gate, first time i died on a boss, he isn't that bad, just use bahumat once on him, and keep on healing your people till you guys reach your limits, and repeat the cycle and hes done for, if hes the hardest boss in the game like you said.....i don't think i will have trouble later on...

Um a hard boss is Materia Keeper, lol when i first got Vincent, i used him against AMteria Keeper then activated his Limit Break. BAD IDEA! lol

Other than that about the hardest boss would most likely be Carry Armour like most others said.

First time I played ff7 I found Demon Gate, Hojo's 3 forms and Materia keeper hard. (Hojo took numerous attempts and when I finally did beat him the game froze on the FMV sequences :( ).

Second time round I found these bosses easy, but was close to game over when I battled Ultima Wpn outside Midgar, and Proud Clod wasn't as easy as I remembered.

just give the ghost at cosmo canyon a pheonix down if you want him to die instantly! ;)

As for me, I think the materia keeper, or Emerald Weapon.

I never gave the ghost in cosmo canyon a phoenix down or x-potion more than once. If you ask me it takes the fun out of beating him properly. if you use that trick all the time i suggest beating him the old fashion way

Yeh that Ghost (Gi Nattak or something) was a pain, I beat him the normal way though,

I know it's no fun to use pheonix downs on him, I never do, but if he's that hard for him, I thought I'd give him the tip :)

As for the flames? I'm not sure, I've wondered that myself, because I've never noticed anything different when they take you over.

Demons gate can be hard.

Apparently the moves it does differs each time you fight him. Sometimes it is easy, and other hard.

Like, the first time i PLayed FFVII it was easy, but then the second, at a very similar statistic status, i died 3 times.

LOL ive had FF VII for years and yet i just finally learn that you can use a phenoix down on that Cosmo Canyon Ghost boss, even though i really never need to do that.

Diamond Weapon was hardest, since I didnt have an item to take away the time limit.

And I think the Demons Gate was the hardest, My characters werent the strongest and that damn thing kept killing them all.

This is gonna sound REALLY pathetic but I found the last version of Sepiroth pretty damn hard.

Especially when my game froze.

All the work. For it to freeze and me have to do it all AGAIN! >.>

Man i'd say the hardest Boss i fought at my current levels (50-55) was Ultimate WEAPON on the last time (Cosmo Canyon). I forgot to recast MBarrier before it attacked with its laser. It knocked out two of my characters.Then I did defeat it with Cloud but it used a final attack that did like about 8500 points of damage killing itself and me. GAME OVER! Had to do it again and make sure at least 2 or three of my characters were alive before i killed it. (I used Sense materia to make sure)
THIS WAS IN DISK 3

The hardest boss in disk 2 i'd say Carry Armor cause I was at such low levels. I barely won with just Red XIII (It used it's arms and took Cloud and Cid). Can you believe I barely won with Neo Bahamut and Bolt2.

The hardest boss in Disk1 was Gi Nattak as it always posessed 2 of my best characters and slowly kill them. But I did win with all 3 intact.

it would have to be materia keeper or demons gate. but...(and dont laugh at me) on my first time through i died twice from dyne :notgood: :sad: :-[ :embarrassment: o well. but the hardest weapon was emerald.

Oh yea he was pretty hard, considering that I had to use Red and I couldnt have Aeris in my party

You could put Aeris in your party. She's one of your choices...or do you not use her because she's going to (gulp) die at the end of disk 1

Oh I know Aeris is one of the choices, but my perfered party in disk 1 was Aeris, Tifa, and Cloud. But I had to have Red, so I always chose Tifa because she was a strong attacker. But unfortunatly her cure magic became to weak at that point and the materia refused to level up faster :(
