Sad news to hear, I consider his Dracula a classic that holds up to this day.

Sad news indeed...the man maybe gone but his music will live forever!

It is a sad day for Film music lovers, i remember that when they announced The Lord of the Rings he much wanted to compose the music i`m sure his music would it been fantastic something along the lines of Dracula with a lot of a choir on it.

It was a great Composer. RIP.

I didn't hear much from his entire body of work, but his score to Bram Stoker's Dracula was quite good.

I came to know his music with Dracula and that was a short step to discover some gems like Pan Tadeusz, The Portrait of a Lady and Konig der letzten Tage. He will be missed.

Very very sad news. The first time I heard his music was when I saw the german TV-Film K�nig der letzten Tage. It pretty much captivated me and I have been a fan of his work ever since.

sadly a very great loss of an excellent european film score composer.....he really did fantastic work although many of his polish film score till today never were published (correct me if this may be wrong).... Francis Ford Coppola's Dracula was a really awesome film score.....and for K�nig der letzten Tage he also did excellent work (although the movie falsificated in great parts the accounts that happened in M�nster/Westfalia between 1530 and 1535)...... His work for Le Roi et L'Ouiseau is also extraordinary..... Wojciech Kilar never will be forgotten :)

i was shocked to hear of his passing, such a brilliant composer.
His music for Death and the maiden is superb, and lets not forget Bram Stokers Dracula, the ultimate vampire music
