Just dropping in to thank you for ripping this and also shill this soundtrack some more, because I'll never shut up about how utterly fucking fantastic it is. :)

I'm a huge Iwatsuki fan, and Ninja Warriors is probably the best thing he ever did. Y'all better listen to it.

The best he ever did? I'd hate to hear his worst then. The composition sounds like the trite ramblings I lay down on the spot. And the sound design is so bland. It's not a bad soundtrack, it just sounds like a billion trillion other ones I've heard. And it's like every track feels more or less the same. There's no variety, and nothing stands out. Just my opinion.

Huh.

Sorry to hear that, bro. :( Me, I always thought the man puts together the catchiest, most fist-clenchingly heroic chiptune beats I've ever heard. Considering that a huge chunk of his work consists of soundtracks for licensed games based on tokusatsu shows, this is exactly the feels I want them to evoke.

I'll definitely disagree about him sounding generic, though. The sound drivers that he tends to use (at least in his 8-bit works) are very distinct, and you can instantly tell it's Iwatsuki from the first couple of notes.

Give Choujin Sentai Jetman (http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL57FDC79705DBFE72) or Mitsume Ga Tooru (http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL0FF761C53F83C6F7) a shot, I guess. If they do nothing for you, I guess he's just not your cup of tea.
