I have to say the music is really shocking. but Seymour's theme and battle music is the bomb! and also hope to get the ost as well :)

I agree that the People of the North is beautiful! I wish Square-Enix would show all their remastered soundtracks this treatment. Hamauzu and the arrangement team did an excellent job!

Really love the soundtrack from what I've heard from the teasers. The only two that bug me are "Blitz Off" and "Challenge". They both sound...almost "empty", like it's missing some instrumentals and parts. Other than that, loving everything else, especially all of Seymour's themes. They've seem to have gotten a little extra touch of "evil" to them, not to mention his battle theme's got a nice little extra "omph" to it.

Unless someone there spreads the share (which is forbidden by most uploaders) that lead should be considered dead to us. Many a times I have been trading in doujin albums and came across astost horror stories. Uploaders refusing to share ever again once they discover their shares outside of astost. I'm sure this album will show up soon, but we should consider the astost discovery a dead end.

If you copy that filename into Google you'll find a thread on a9vg where the same user posted the album without obvious limitations (except that he wants you to delete it after 24 hours). For the 5GB music track you're required to install a Baidu download manager however and sign up on Baidu.
It's a bit tricky, but there will be some mirrors soon, I guess.

I don't think there's anything new on there, though. It's the original X-2 soundtrack with some bonus tracks, but I think the bonus tracks were all on the X-2 International + Last Mission soundtrack. Still, just putting this out there in case someone wants to buy it and check themselves.

I'm afraid I noticed some distortions in two files though. From what I have listened to track 12 and 52 have distortions in them because they are just simply too loud. I can also hear these distortions in the 96khz FLAC files so it's not because of my conversion to mp3. I'm wondering how this happened though, maybe something went wrong when extracting from the blu-ray? Anyways....the rest sounds absolutely glorious though. The sound quality is very good (except for those two tracks).

I found track 1 from the extra disc Inori Effect to be not present on the OST. I wonder if it was in the PS2 version in this form, or it's a remix from the HD version.

How do you know, do you have a copy of the new X-2 OST release?
BTW the albums' tracklists are different, and I can't completely compare them as the new one is currently japanese-only.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but there is no FFX2 HD specially arranged music, they've reused all the music from the PS2 version ;)

Have we gotten a better version of the soundtrack rip as of yet or is this still the same one with the various distorted tracks?
