"These historic recordings are the first Living Stereo sessions for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra under the legendary Fritz Reiner." Although recorded in March of 1954, this is still my favorite recording of Zarathustra. Beautifully remastered and transferred to Compact Disc in 1993, the brilliant Analogue sound has been accurately captured by John Pfeiffer and his team for release into the Digital realm. Enjoy and comments are always welcome.

ZheParadox, click the link above. When the 4shared page opens, cursor down about half way on the left-hand side and click the small gray button that says Download not the bigger blue button that says 4 PRIORITY DOWNLOAD or the smaller gray button that says Share. On the page that opens up you will see a big blue button that says 4 PRIORITY DOWNLOAD and next to it you will see a big gray button that says FREE DOWNLOAD. Click the big Gray button that says FREE DOWNLOAD and depending on what version of Windows you are using, a small dialog box should open and say something like: You have chosen to open: Click Save and then OK and you should be good to go. On a Mac it should be even more intuitive but I haven't used a Mac in a couple of years. I have no idea what Calidoran is talking about having never experienced his "social network" scenario when using 4shared. I have tried many file storage sites over the years and I have had absolutely no problems with 4shared and they seem to keep my files stored permanently even though I am only a registered FREE user of their service. Your mileage may vary.

Calidoran, I have clicked the link above at least a dozen times in the last day or so and have never seen the screen shot you posted above so I have no idea why it is displayed when you click on it. This may be too simple a solution, but if I saw that One-Click Download dialog box pop up, I would click that little x in the upper right-hand corner and hope that it disappears and allows me to access the page behind it. Also, I do not have a Facebook, Twitter or Google+ account so maybe that is factor? I also have all my browsers configured with AdBlock Plus 2.4 which might explain why I don't get that annoying pop-up dialog box. But I am glad you found a work-around to be able to download the file and thank you for your input.

Maybe that's because YOU'RE the one who uploaded it! Sign out of your 4shared account and then you can experience the file hosting service the way the rest of us do.

Outside of the butchered bits and pieces edited into 2001, I have never heard this work as intended. Thanks.

Apologies to pjmontana if mirroring is faux-pas. This is a fine share! I had the same problem Calidoran and Mr. Fate (and probably many silent others) did. No one should have to trade their email address for a download link.

pj,
Thank you for this vintage stereo recording!!!
I had no problem figuring out the download procedure, which is going on as I post this. 26 minutes for a large 417mb rar file isn't so awful bad.
The above Mega link by zuvqwyx is a very nice gesture.

I would like to thank all the members of the forum who have left comments here. It seems several people have had problems downloading from 4shared so I appreciate that zuvqwyx has posted another link. Here is one more link for anyone having problems with 4shared or mega.
