We all know for years in some of the Final Fantasys there was a Terra vs. Celes war, Aerith vs. Tifa war, a Rinoa vs. Quistis, etc.

Do you ever wonder why fans start this? Do they ever know that they were truly friends although the characters may be jealous of eachother? Do they start the wars because they liked the same man? That is an unanswered question we'll probably never know; why fans start love triangle or character wars.

This is a thread we're you tell me what you think of these female character debates, your opinions, did you think they were friends or disliked eachother. Did you love both female characters? Are there anymore Final Fantasy Female character love triangle cat fights you can think of other than the ones I've listed? What are you're favorites?

Opinions of these FF love triangles(containing Male and two females) shall be discussed here!

Actually, to me, the most infamous love triangle in Final Fantasy history doesn't involve 2 women after one man, but two men over one woman. That being Final Fantasy IV. But I digress.

There's always a debate over which character is better. It's just the nature of people to argue over who they reckon is better.

In all of the ff's ive played, I usually like all of the characters in the love triangle. What I don't understand is why people have to like one and hate the other. Final fantasy VII: I love Tifa and Aerith, there's nothing not to like about either of them! final fantasy VIII: I actually prefer Rinoa in this one, but I have no reason/desire to hate Quistis. Terra and Celes, once again, love'm both. In all of the games, I can't think of two girls in the love triangle that hate each other. Everyone says that Tifa and Aerith aren't friends because they both like Cloud, but so what? Thatls like saying you can't have more than one best friend, because one HAS to be better than the other. Well guess what, they ARE friends, and if you don't think so name times when either of them are mean to each other! I think the debates are fine for people to discuss their opinions, but soon it gets out of control and the fans bad mouth each other. People just have to except the fact that the characters don't hate each other. As much as you might love Tifa and hate Aerith, or vise versa, Tifa and Aerith are friends just the same, and no one can change that,

I like seeing a love triangle, since it makes the story much more interesting. I particularly enjoyed the one between Tifa and Aeris because in the end its left mostly undecided. ( At least thats how I saw it). I actually found no reason to hate either one, they both seemed so much a like except for certain quirks. But perferably I would have cloud choose Tifa.

With Rinoa and Quistis is one I could relate to the most. I perfered Rinoa mostly ( .. actually selphie but she didnt like squall :P) and found Quistis lack of self love a bit annoying. I just felt that Quistis was way to much of a negative person and would bring Squall down more. Rinoa was just able to bring out his nicer side ( and she made him smile )

And about the vs. debates people have, Its alright (though certanly over done) but sometimes people take it to far and forget that these characters arent real. They fight and then its a whole blood fest over nothing.

That's good you enjoy love triangles, that way you probably don't hate one or the other. It's good you see them the positive way! I love Tifa more than Aerith and choose Tifa, but that doesn't stop me from loving Aerith! I liked this one too because the game leaves you to decide!

I loved Rinoa alot more than Quistis too because I thought Rinoa was more positive and very good in battle! I don't think they were really best friends, but I think they found themselves respecting one another when Quistis wanted to apologize and at least she never fought, she was strong enough to let Squall go! Rinoa at least never did anything to hurt Quistis either! I just love Rinoa more because everytime I deal with grudgy people, I lose one confident point. So I say Rinoa, but Quistis wasn't a bad person! She was good too with magic!

That is always the best point, that the characters are able to respect each other and you dont have to have a conflict with any of them ( I tend to not play with a character I dont like ) But i enjoyed Aerith a lot, and I actually cried when Sephirtoh killed her ( yes I admit it :o )

And when It comes to Rinoa I admire how much strength they put in her. Sometimes I want to be as cheery as her, but its so difficult with so many grudgy people around. ;)

My favorites aren't even on the poll. Yuffie and Beatrix. I can't believe Paine and Leblanc are on the poll and Yuna and Rikku aren't. Where did these choices come from?

They come from those love triangles I believe or with some power rivarly etc. Not which female character is the best. She didnt put Yuffie, Beatrix, Yuna, Rikku etc because they werent in love with the main character/ and didnt have rivarly

Beatrix and Yuffie are in different worlds and for Yuna and Rikku, I thought about putting them up, but didn't wanna because they're cousins and they're so cute together and you see them always cheery with eachother:) :angel: ! They love eachother!

For Paine and Leblanc, well we all know she loves her Noojie Woojie, but at the end of X-2, you can kind of tell Nooj has a thing for Paine because it seemed he was always talking to her more, "I will see you later", and he gave her a look in the eye as if he liked her. Just a gut feeling, and I know some people think Paine and Nooj go better together, but I like Leblenc to me goes better with Nooj.

Heh heh, sorry if it seemed like I was repeating after Solaris. Just thought I should explain in detail about the choices.

I don't think that there's really a LeBlanc/Paine/Nooj love triangle. I mean, Nooj paid a lot of attention to Paine when he talked to her, but that's because they'd been through a lot together- they were comrades, not romantic involved. He talked to Gippal in Baralia in the same sort of way.

I also agree that there's no such triangle. Leblanc and Nooj are pretty tight. Although I have wondered how much of it was actually real, since Nooj was actually being controlled.

I never had anyone on the Gold Saucer date but Aeris. How do you get Yuffie to go with Cloud?

I agree, I really respected Yuffie after what she did, and the characters with the strongest feelings for Cloud didn't! I was really surprised that not even Aeris told him how she felt, I always pictured her outgoing, but I think it had something to do with her not wanting to hurt Tifa. I really like Yuffie, but that's because I'm so much like her I think. ;)

I like the love triangles too, even I like a little romance, but not to o much >:( I just hate it when peoplelget all mad because of the 3 characters in the love triangle. If they get along, then so should the fans with different opinions.

Some people take Final Fantasy way to seriously and become angry over the stupidest things. But sometimes I cant help get annoyed with a character in a love triangle, i guess one of the characters always have this pushy/negative attitude

You're right, some people do. I admit, I can be very serious about it but that's because I love it so much!! I go crazy sometimes, but I never loose respect for another person's opinion, and never fight about it, because that doesn't change or help anything. I can get annoyed with a character, but I'm not an anit- whatever that character is. There's no point.
