Saw this flick a long time ago on the early DVD from a bargain bin. Honestly I can't remember if the movie was good or not. Nor do I recall any of the music. Must be decent of a score to have got a fancy expanded release so giving it a download. Thanks.

The film and soundtrack are both unashamed 80's cheese, albeit in a mostly 'tongue-in-cheek' way (which critics seem to miss).

The tone gets quite grim in the middle however, which seems drawn out but other action comedies have their down-moments (e.g. Beverly Hills Cop when Axel's friend is murdered).

You probably have to be a fan of the genre and not take things too seriously to enjoy both. No other score quite compares either, it's so enthusiastic and uninhibited.
