Without further ado, here is the follow up to the Money Python Holy Grail Soundtrack VOL.1, here is the second volume of "MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL (UNRELEASED LIBRARY MUSIC SOUNDTRACK)"!



This volume contains 2 recently rediscovered songs I found that have been missing and unidentified for over 35 years. Like its predecessor, this volume also contains some tough-to-find library tracks. The two newly ID'd tracks are: Early One Morning and Romantic Overturette. Combined with VOL. 1, this collection is the most complete source of all the known Holy Grail cues ever made.

Some tracks do exhibit some lossy artifacting as they were taken from other sources. I'm very happy with Magenta, as it is released for the first time ever in Stereo. The original LP release for this song was only in Mono, so this is the first time ever that you get to hear it in stereo. Even though it was used only for a couple of seconds in the movie, it really is quite a lovely song.

Also included in this album are all 5 cues from The Album Of The Soundtrack Of The Trailer Of The Film Of Monty Python And The Holy Grail. Finally, I also added a bonus track that I created myself, "Prince Herbert Suite", that has all the film versions of Love Theme, Magenta, Starlet in the Starlight, and Romantic Overturette.

Also note that songs composed by Neil Innes are not part of this collection as his music was written for the film and not really library music. He wrote the some of the fanfares, the Monk Chant, Camelot Song, the music in the "Sunset" animation and the music and stings in the "Knights who say Ni" and "Three Headed Knight" scenes. I believe he wrote other songs for the movie but I don't have enough evidence yet.

The majority of the music in the movie has been identified but some tracks do remain elusive. The music that plays during "Scene 24" and the first track that plays when Sir Galahad enters the Castle Anthrax are the two most important songs that I'd like to identify before continuing releasing more volumes, so if anyone has any information on these Dewolfe library tracks, that would be greatly appreciated!

I apologize in advance for any inconvenience but I will not be giving the download link directly for several reasons, that I'm sure you'll all understand, so the only way to get the soundtrack is to PM me and I'll be more than happy to send you the link. Please don't distribute this to other forums or put it on eBay, etc; it just sucks the fun out for all of us and then no one is happy. Again, sorry if this is annoying but I hope you understand why.

This is great thank you Sinistar. You would never know listening to this mostly dramatic music that it was for one of the funniest films made, but deliberately so. I saw this film outdoors in Trafalgar Square, London, in 2007 and we were given coconut shells to mimic the sound of horses hooves as the knights galloped because the movie's budget didn't allow for real horses!

None of us seem to have got links, but never mind - confirmation has come through that an official, remastered, Holy Grail soundtrack CD is being prepared for commercial release by De Wolfe!

Since I'm new here it doesn't seem like the PM system is open to me yet. I would love to get a copy of this incidental music! I've been looking for it for a VERY long time, but could never afford the original collections of library music as they became available (including used copies as well!) to make my own soundtrack. thanks for collecting them and making these available!

As MrSinistar has returned to the fold of late, and I've shared my special edition of the original album, would an encore presentation of this project be possible? I've been gagging to hear it for ages and it sounds like it massively outclasses all other attempts at same.
