Okay to set some things straight:
#1. I really don't care about your attacks about track listings or wanting to argue about what you think is a complete score or not.
#2. 99% of any score I post I WILL label it complete if I can find every cue of music contained in the film.
#3. I've been obsessed with movies since I was about 5 years old. I am 38 now and I have seen most films that I post scores for more than a DOZEN times SO arguing with me and trying to convince me that music is missing (when it really isn't) because you are too lazy to actually watch the movie to listen for music cues before you rip my head off about posting something that's not complete is POINTLESS and MAKES NO SENSE.
#4. Just because I'm new to this forum does not mean I'm a NEWB or don't know what the f*ck I'm talking about and if you can't actually PROVE what you are attacking me about RELEASES, PRODUCTION COMPANIES, LABELS,etc.....DON'T BOTHER. I actually am aware of all of these entities and honestly they are POINTLESS in a conversation about SHARING.
#5. If someone shares a file with you you should take it for what it's worth. Stop acting like the world owes you something or b*tching about what record company doesn't meet your desires. It takes MILLIONS of dollars just to take a risk on releasing a score in hopes that people will buy enough of them SO STOP acting like the record label or a consultant for the music industry when someone upsets you that their post doesn't meet your criteria.
#6. You are not the music industry, a record label, a composer, a producer, or a company. Stop acting like a f*cking know it all by flaming others that post something you are unhappy with. (yes I've read many threads in here and it's pretty stupid how b*tchy some of you are)
#Last. I own a forum and I produce film. I'm also a screenwriter and I am very good at what I do. I probably know more about film scoring and it's elements more than 80% of those of you that think you are EXPERTS. I posted this because I just wanted some of you to THINK before you post. I am a VERY busy person and when I share something with you it is NOT to make a debate or get everyone FLAMING or WHINING about what is or what isn't.
This will be my whole opinion so if you read this remember it before you post something to my threads. ;) Scott

No disrespect intended Scott.
But respectfully, what you posted is not the complete score to Terminator 2.
Stop 'bitching' at us, because we reserve the right to point out that it IS NOT the complete score. Those are the facts. It is far less than that infact - barely more material than the commercial OST.
I agree, if people don't like what you share, they don't have to download it.
But we're still allowed to express our opinions about what it is and what it is not. 38? Be mature enough to accept that people on the internet have opinions. Get over it.
Oh and everyone can be anything they want on the internet, didn't you know?
Me? I compose for filmmakers, write scripts, have produced/edited for corporate clients and now I'm looking to collaborate as a writer/editor. Really I am. Don't believe me??
That's because it doesn't matter what you do, on these forums we're all just equals. Trying to heft some mighty titles around doesn't make you right.

I wish everyone would wake the fuck up and realize this, because let's be honest, there are people on here who worship a particular member as if the person were a God...

THAT was hardly lewd considering some of the stuff here. Also, you will find that in the General Discussion forum, conversation is allowed to be more...whatever you watd. Lewd, vulgar, nude, whatever. And, a LOT of it might turn your hair white..:)
Read my post to you in the butthurt thread. But bottom line is neither side is going to convince the other they are right. It's an impasse and by now we should just move on.

This whole post is a attack to us and the forum. Guess we shouldn't care then... Continue on the lovely people of FF Shrine!
#2. 99% of any score I post I WILL label it complete if I can find every cue of music contained in the film.
Yet you posted the "Complete Recording Sessions" to TRON: Legacy and it was not complete.
#3. I've been obsessed with movies since I was about 5 years old. Actually, most people who argue that music is missing, are usually right. Most people on this forum who make those comments are not "too lazy to actually watch the movie to listen for music cues". In fact, thats all some users probably do! Compare the movie with a complete score/recording sessions leak on here. In fact, I'll use TRON: Legacy as an example (again). I've probably seen that movie a million times, to the point where its probably considered unhealthy. I've been a HUGE TRON fan since I was a kid, and loved TRON: Legacy when I first saw it. I myself have compared the Movie with the Recording Sessions that got leaked on here and its not complete. Hell, most of it are not even the same mixes used in the film.
#Last.
"#Last"?! Why not #7? "Last" is not a number anyways so "#Last" doesn't make sense.
#Last. I own a forum and I produce film. I'm also a screenwriter and I am very good at what I do. I probably know more about film scoring and it's elements more than 80% of those of you that think you are EXPERTS.
Just because you produce film and are a screenwriter doesn't mean shit when it comes to film scoring. I'm sure plenty of people here know more then you when it comes to film scoring. So dont act like a cocky piece of shit saying you know more about scoring just because you're in the business of film.
Also I've never seen anyone on the forums claiming they were experts so...
This will be my whole opinion so if you read this remember it before you post something to my threads. ;) Scott
So lets summarize, you made this whole thread about "FLAMING, CHILDISH COMMENTS!", yet this whole first post was flaming, and a little childish. Good job!

#1. what you think is a complete score or not.
There's only a few ways to view things and a majority of members here view it completely different than you.
It's the same issue with some people posting "isolated scores" when they're just DVD/BD-rips with sfx and dialogue.
They'll never change their mind because their initial thoughts weigh heavy and, like most humans, love their own way of thinking and find other people's thoughts to be invasive and pompous.
Learning to separate yourself from your own thought process to validate your unorthodox usage of commonly perceived terminology can reduce your stress.
Also learning that humility is a part of the learning curve.

Yes, things can get heated, and downright nasty at times. One of the things that is hard on me at times. But I keep staying because I love this site. It is a massive, breathing community of all types. There is great friendly discussion, shares and feelings. But the mix can be volatile at times. There are some sharply divided lines of thoughts that rub. I have found that there are many more civilized and polite sharing sites, read "boring as all get out". But there is nothing as interesting, and exciting and fast as Shrine. Most new stuff comes here first. There are never times when someone is not here. There is just nothing else like it, but you do have to be willing to bend with the punches and shrug off the confrontations. They happen, sure. I have been the cause or subject of many. But no matter the feelings, they are temporary, and these things always die away.

So true! If I were to choose between a quiet yet boring place over a lively one where there's a conflict of opinions and interest, I would definitely pick the latter. Contrasting ideas brings about an understanding of how different people views differently from one another. Tastes and preferences differs and this is what makes us exciting as a community. Call it crazy but in a world where you only see four corners, a wall and a roof there's no further discovery. Because only when you go out of your comfort zone, try new things or express your views to test them how it stands against the others own opinion will your horizon grow and broaden your perspectives.

Through many of these discussions, even the nasty ones I have learned a great deal. About how to post, how to provide info, how to edit to a degree, how to rip, different composers and style. From here I learned about composer's sites, and received the knowledge of how to capture audio from them. MOST people simply just want to improve the posts. I have an unlimited, FAST IE connection. But some have limits and caps. Some just crawl along or use school/work computers. So, detail means a lot. What is the exact title. What company, and what year/edition? If a bootleg, is the source known? (I try to indicate what I have ripped myself and from where. If unknown source I use the umbrella term bootleg). Is it a true promo/complete/expanded/isolated score or is it a fan-made reordering of the ost, dvd rip or whatever. A lot of us are collectors. And while I can simply dl, listen and discard, many cannot. The devil is in the details. An isolated score is NOT a dvd rip with fx subdued (not removed or "isolated". It is rare. It matters. And if doing rips, while comments may not be entirely constructive, the know-how and experience behind them can be. Take that nugget, and experiment. :D

Oh, and one more thing. Ages here differ, and so emotional maturity and/or language differs. Different countries and languages can quash intended meanings, and the words typed on a screen are open to emotional interpretation, having no tone or inflection of their own,. And, folks should know that there ARE some members who are actually minors on this board. I know several for a fact are. Just thoughts to keep in mind. (Said she of many an emotional outburst.tantrum bordering on hysterics...or beyond). **sigh**

it seems to me that Amanda and Granny just summed it up. for me what makes Shrine unique is it's diversity and the dynamics that goes with it. we can all be too emotional, rational, or opinionated but at the end of the day if we all just try to incorporate the word "respect" and live with it. then no disagreement or divisiveness will stop us from enjoying what we're here for --- enjoy the film score at it's best! :)
