Here's a cherry for you all.
As a fan of the movie Strange Days, and it's really edgy songtrack and soundtrack, I was always a bit disappointed that:
a) Not all the songs in the movie appeared in the official CD songtrack.
b) The CD left nearly all the real edgy rap and metal and electro tracks of the film out, to offer instead a bit of a lounge light version of the films tracks, with the edginess all watered down.
c) Some of the tracks were only available on Deep Forest While The Heart Sleeps single.
So I went out on my free time on a quest of most of the missing tracks, using the end credits list as guide. I wasn't able to track them all, but managed to get most of them. The original CD songtrack was 13 tracks long. This one bumps it to two CDs and a whoopin 24 tracks, all re-sequenced in original film order. Some tracks that appears twice in the movie were put in the tracklist order when they belonged best for a great listening.
All tracks are from the original CDs, compressed to 256kbps AAC. Because the original songtrack CD was maxed out LOUD, a victim of the LOUDNESS WAR, with all the tracks pushed out a 0db, I level adjusted the lot to -2db or -3db depending on the tracks, to make for an easier listening.
I also remixed the sleeve with a color shot of Lenny Nero, so that this comp stands out from the other in your iTunes playlist.
Have a good listen, to that songtrack with all the edginess finally restored.
