I'm not sure if this thread has been done, but i'll post it anyway. Some dresspheres i hardly ever use are:

Songstress
Mascot (Never obtained)
Lady Luck (Never obtained)
White Mage
Gun mage
Black mage
trainer
and the special ones

uh...thats alot you dont use...the only ones i havnt got are, 'black knight'(i think thats right) and 'mascot'....i dont like mascot.....its kinda...well....stupid. i dont use;

Ladyluck
Songstress
Gunner
and White mage....

I use the rest...

I don't use :

Lady Luck ( i don't have it )
Mascot ( i don't have it )
Gun Mage
Songtress ( i will master it in my next game )
and the specials ones.

EDIT: I now have Lady Luck and Mascot (So much power...).

So... I don't use :

-Songtress
-Trainer (I don't use it anymore)
-White Mage (But I plan to master it for Rikku)

The only dressphere I really never use is Paine's special dressphere.

Every dressphere really sees a decent amount of use though, as I tend to switch jobs a lot.

It's just certain jobs never get used by certain characters.

I almost always had a Songstress going in my party.

I don't use:

Theif (on Yuna and Paine)
Songstress
Black Mage (after Ch.2 or so)
White Mage (after Ch.2 or so)
Gun Mage
Beserker (on Rikku and Yuna)
Mascot (on Rikku and Paine)
And the special ones

I don't see why most people think Songstress is useless. I see it is one of the best dresses in the game.

And thats it! I have Lady Luck and is my most used dress. I have a white Lore and a Sword Lore on Rikku (I use her as it most) Making the dress an almost unstoppible force.

Why not equip the tomes?

I don't use the Special Dressspheres. It's too much of a hassle to change into every single dressphere and they're quite weak compared to the party.

I'm usually using Mascot so I don't ever use Black Mage, White Mage or Dark Knight either.

EDIT: I have of course used all of them {the ones I have} at least once so I could see whether or not I was going to use it. Or like it for that matter.

I never use Songstress....But my brother said that's it's very handy...I think it's to much work :P But I do use the Special Dressphere because they come in handy with bosses!! (Sometimes)

Just plain dont like trainer dont know why and songstress is very good !

i like berserker and trainer the best...i like yuna's dog...but i hate the other 2...i like rikku's berserker...she looks cute in it!

Yea.. but everyone uses different dresspheres i mean i could call some people crazy for using trainer but then again they probably think black mage is horrible (i obiously dont)

Basically, Songstress is a support type job. The songstress uses abilities to either weaken your enemy, or strengthen your party, so that your fight is smoother and faster.

Songstress abilities can do things like

- make everything cost 0 mp as long as she is dancing

- stop the enemies magical attacks from working on your party while she is dancing

- double everyone's mp while she is dancing

- "stop" all enemies (they'll be unable to do anything) while she is dancing

- caste "haste" on your entire party (cause everyone to move super fast)

- make every melee hit a critical while she is dancing

As you can see, it's super useful. Hope that helps! ^^

If the Songstress's effects stuck on for the remainder of the battle, then it would be more useful. But since it only lasts for the duration of the dance, you probably can get 1-2 turns with the effect, then you have to recast it. That's why I don't like using it.

i dont use the support magic or items in the normal ff ones, so i dont do it on this one either....i just use the power ones, like berserker and warrior and samuri...none of the songstress for me

What sort of ended up happening for me is I wanted to master every one, so I just sort of moved on from one to another as I did that, and then I mostly ended up just using Mascot and Lady Luck.

One of my reasons for not using Songstress is because I need all 3 characters free for action on tougher enemies, and that she can be killed more easily.

the mascot may look stupid but it is the most powerful in thew game!!!! i got it (damn im good) an i havent used any others since! it has abiliteis to use two other dressphere abilities an if u put on two tomes then u can use four dressphere abilities plus mascot try it

I use all of my dress spheres and I got %100 on all of them. Mascot is actually the most powerful dress sphere, and well, I hated the sphere break, so Lady was hard to obtain. I liked Dark Knight and Berserker the best and White Mage came in handy sometimes, then Songstress if I ever wanted to cast spells. I dunno, the black magic came in handy at Macalania and other places. Gunner for trigger happy, and then warrior was my best at the start of the game, and then I remember that I stole a lot. Lady Luck, I didn't use all that much. Me, I personally love the dress sphers. I used all of them basically on my second time playing the game.

well even though i dont use them, ive managed to get 100% in all of them, except mascot(dont have) black knight(dont have) and full throtle(89%)

so im getting there....does it give you more on your percentage?

You mean your percentage of finishing the game? No. Percentage completion is determined by getting spoken dialogue by activating and doing the right things in various events. You'll never get completion percentage for anything you do with dresspheres.

What do you mean you got percentage on your dress spheres if you didn't use them? The whole point is to use them and then learn the abilities. Oh, sorry there if I confused you when I said percentage. I meant by mastering the dress spheres, not the game or that the dress sphere percentage counted as game percentage.

AHH! How can so many people not have the Lady Luck dressphere and those who do don't use it. It's like the best! If you need healing 1 or 2 cherries, or white mage symbol ombos, need auto-life, get 3 white mage symbols. 3 cherries is a good damaging flare, and normal attack isn't that bad. So many people don't have it either, just beat Shinra at Sphere Break already. Not that hard, he's a wimp. I easily beat the guy with the 300 coin quota with just 1 multiplier echo coin, and 3 crappy coins. It's good to have coins with numbers 1 2 and 3 as they can really help echos. Go for multipier x2, easiest.

Black Mage or Dark Knight cause I was going to say u had no choice with the Blm Mage Dresssphere.

I just never use Lady Luck (Don't Have) and Samurai. Samurai is so useless I never had any use for it. Also the following I use a little but not a whole lot.

Warrior---He's way weaker compared to the Dark Knight

Trainer---What is this job so good for?

Mascot---Just plain silly. (And dumb)

Gunner---Typically Gunner is only needed when facing flying enemys and yes Gunner was one of the better dresspheres at the beginning but now it's plain worthless

i use almsot all of em for diff people and enemys, best are bezerker and dark knight though

I rarely (actually, almost never) use the Songstress and Black Mage dresspheres. I didnt find them taht useful and I personally think there are a lot more better DS than them. Besides, I find Yuna, Rikku and Paine ridiculous everytime they use the Songstress spheres. They dance and sing in front of the fiends in order to defeat them..

It's been so long since I played the game (got 100% so no point really)... Anyway I never really could be bothered learning the abilities for the songstress dresssphere, and I always used the mascot for all three characters. Each sphere has it's own individual traits, so they help each other out. If you ever get it make sure you master it.

I never really use the songstress dressphere, cant really attack unless you give them the garment grid with mug...do like 100 damage lol!

If you learn your enemies yuo can do significantly more damage in reduced times (Hunter level 2 reduces cast time) so you can attack twice in normal time dealing alot more damage. And I simply love a few of the Blue Bullet skills. =P

I agree Gun Mage is good but it's not as powerful as Beserker

gun mage doesn't suit me, i can't be bothered getting all the 'blue magic', so i'll go with berserker or black mage every time

Why not use Samurai? A properly trained character can do 9999 dammage to every enemy on screen with fireworks, the DS looks great, and has other good skills. Mascot looks dumb but has amazing stats. Can be useful sometimes so I wouldnt rule it out. I dont use Songstress tho it isnt useful to me since its effects dont last long.

ive never use the special dress spheres, (kind of a pain to get them out unless you equip the unerring path garmant grid) i have used all of the others though because i am mastering all of them, but now that i have mastered them...
