I recently purchased this game for 5, a price that was "a bargain" according to the vendor who took my cash from me. I've played through the training mission, and I was wondering what others think of the game?

I had fun with it. I never got especially into the storyline, but the gameplay is fun, and I love how much freedom you have.
I've beat it once so far, and I got a pretty awful ending. ; ; I'll have to play it through again one of these days and try to get a better one.

It's brilliant. A deep storyline, a fantastic adventure, interesting characters, and so much extra stuff you can do.
Just don't buy DX2.
It's awful.
While DX is a bargain at 5, DX2 is a ripoff at half the price.

If you have a save game somewhere near the end, thats where you make the choice for what ending you'll get. It's sorta annoying that it's only the final decision you make that affects the outcome.
But yeah, awesome game. I've been meaning to do another play through sometime soon. There's a bunch of skills and paths I haven't even seen.
I've heard mixed things about DX 2. I'll probably just rent it sometime.
I liked it.. but the after a while i got the feeling i was doing the same thing over and over again (it just took me so long) I now have a savegame at the part where you have to rescue the daughter of a scientist...
anyone knows if i still have to do a lot? worth my time reinstalling and finishing the game??

Deus Ex is a really kickass game. I've cleared it a couple times. A note of life-saving advice: Pick Regen over Energy Shield.
