I'm not so sure what you mean. Head through the town into the forrest. take the second right (i think) and keep right till you get up to the stairs.

At the temple the entrance is the opening straight ahead of you.

All right, I'll help. This is Chapter 3, so this is the part where all paths seemed to be blockaded. Dona: "There's a hidden path. Walk the treetops." What you have to do is get into the forest (I think the game's instructions on breaking through the game explain this quite nicely, assuming you aren't already in the forest.) Once you're in the forest, first try going through each of the blockaded paths. You won't be able to get through, but just view the scenes. Once you've tried all of them, go along the path to the left just after entering and you should trigger a new scene in which YRP realize the meaning of Dona's "walk the treetops" clue. They will then jump to the treetops and you'll be able to get to the temple from there.
