Released around 1993, this limited-edition triple CD reinstated to catalog three of the most interesting releases in Ravi Shankar's career. The first source is East Greets East, a trailblazing collaboration between Indian and Japanese musicians dating from 1978. Straddling it and the second CD is the album Ragas Hameer & Gara from 1979. The middle CD completes that album and adds Raga Jogeshwari from 1980. These last two albums are also available individually as Music India CDNF 010 and 009, respectively. Completing the trilogy is one of Ravi Shankar's finest ever studio albums, Homage to Mahatma Gandhi & Baba Allauddin from 1981, also available as Music India CDNF 119. The only thing weakening this compilation is its German-only text, a curiosity in some senses since the original Deutsche Grammophon/Polydor releases carried English (and French) texts.
