All audio from the game has been recorded from the original game .xmi files including both the general midi and FM versions of the tracks. Note that I deleted any duplicates present based off MD-5 Checksum. After that I went through and combed a few extra files out that were exact sound duplicates. All tracks were recorded at normal midi volume and some of them are quite loud, looks like they were never really normalized. Track 58 is a bonus track from the 1993 Slideshow demo released for TES: Arena.

*Arena/Daggerfall OPL3/SC-55/SC-88 recordings with the actual hardware. While my SC-55 BASSMIDI recording is pretty good its still not the great quality of an actual Roland SC-55. Also I'm aware of the SC-88 recordings of the Daggerfall soundtrack available on youtube, however I chose not to include them because there is a lot of background hum in them, on top of the source files no longer being available for download.

I had been thinking about posting a complete Elder Scrolls collection for a while now, and when I obtained Redguard (very underrated game) a few days ago and ripped its soundtrack, I was just about to start making such a collection - now I see you have done the work for me. :P Well done! That's very complete. It's totally fine that you're using my Skyrim + DLC gamerip too. ;)

I also have one suggestion for the Daggerfall (don't know much about Arena) remixes: Eric Heberling has an orchestral Daggerfall Suite (http://heberlingmusic.com/audio/short/Eric%20Heberling%20-%20Dagerfall%20Suite%20%28preview%29.mp3) up on his site (http://heberlingmusic.com/audio.html). It's just a preview, but it seems the full version was hosted there once. I couldn't find it, but maybe you can?

Oh yeah, and be careful with hosting that on Mediafire, their anti-piracy measures are pretty strong. When I still uploaded there they used to take my files down pretty quickly, especially with those filenames. They also block links to split archives if they've been downloaded a certain number of times - at least did before I left. :(

Awesome thanks dude! I've heard whispers of the Daggerfall orchestral suite somewhere before. I have this sinking feeling its mostly lost to time but maybe with some serious digging I can find it somewhere. I really hope so, feel like the collection would be missing without adding in all the extra stuff I can get my hands on eventually.

I almost feel like its about time to prepare a contingency plan because I'm expecting my MediaFire files to get dunked any day now. Some of the less common titles will probably sit up there alright, but I have a feeling TES will get knocked off soon. Let's see how long they last :-D

Yeah I'm not a huge fan of that cover either but it was better looking than most of the old boxart I found. That link right there is perfect. I'll see if I can't whip up a better cover for it soon.

I prefer the cover that you provided a heck of a lot more than the official one. It may be because its a product of its time, but the gamebox just looks very corny and has no sense of atmosphere.

Kind of disappointed with a lot of the tracks so far though. Guess they did most of this in-house and it shows. Almost reminds me of how unrefined the vanilla WoW soundtrack was. (Though it had some good and memorable tracks in it too). Their audio department didn't seem to have a clear vision until BC and Wrath.

@Edemardil - Everything seems to be up still, the My Files (http://www.mediafire.com/folder/ohl5mpin9d907/Elder_Scrolls_Complete_Music_Collection) folder link at the top of the first post has everything listed under it. You'd want the Dawnguard and Dragonborn Gamerips near the bottom of the page.

@Fuzzyfoot - FM versions were designed back in the day for Soundcards that had FM synthesizers. So there are some subtle differences in sound for those files. Someone else might be able to explain it better, my knowledge of midi is pretty lackluster.

EDIT: Also for the future, I am planning to implement TES:O tracks when the game releases. Possibly including Beta tracks if some don't make it into the full game or are different. However this is pending I don't get drowned in all the good video game releases coming up this year. Looks like the clock is ticking for being a productive human being this year, because once Dark Souls 2 hits the market, I may as well just forget about accomplishing anything productive for a while ;-)

A certain Bart Klepka culled and remixed some of the Daggerfall midi files and released them as mp3s back when. I came across them by looking for daggerfallesque mods for Oblivion; they were released for Morrowind but there were ways to use them in Oblivion. Anyhow they're still hosted at Fileplanet.

But back to these files; I think he used a different midi soundfont but he went further than just piping it through a software midi player by applying reverb and other effects to different instruments in the recording in an effort to recreate as best he could the original music. So anyway I enjoyed injecting these into my Oblivion playthroughs and wanted to pass them along.

Thank you for this TES megapost. I was missing Morrowind and prior games from my music collexion. The games from Morrowind on are moddable too, jsu drop your own Mp3 into one of several themed directories. Skyrim is an exception, and music has to be modding in using esp plugins, and converted to some bizarro format.

Is this the dlc soundtrack?
The strange thing I did not felt any beauty in the ESO soundtrack as it did not reflect the game atmosphere for me at all. It's too much different than Jeremy Soule soundtrack.

Unlike the 16 bit version , it doesn't have any high frequency dithering noise.

From memory Skyrim's music is encoded as 48 bit Xma files, which is Wma encoded music but in a different container. It is equivalent to 80 kb/s Mp3, so the quality of is aweful compared to the CD release.

The original hardcopy release of the Elder Scrolls III soundtrack. These are the original track titles from the release, they were since revised and renamed for the DirectSong re-release (found below). I decided to keep the original track names for this release.

This is a dumb question, but, uh... can there be 'charts' of sorts that explain how each song is played in correspondence to what's happening in the game?

For Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim it's not that difficult to gauge which ones are for combat, dungeoncrawling, exploration, et al.; but for the others it's not so easy. Specially when you haven't played some games, like Arena, Daggerfall, Battlespire, etc.

Just so I can arrange a few playlists for myself, really. It's not too entitled, is it?
