Note: Is the lossless thread version a 1st print edition? Because the 1st print editions have a problem with the Dancing Calcobrena track.

Actually, the only thing they changed about the music is that they made it loop for a second time. They didn’t fuck around with the dynamic range.
It is indeed true that they made the tracks looped and extended, however they just added a little finishing touch to this version. As an experienced mixing engineer (6+ years & counting), I’ve listened to the tracks and they didn’t mess around with the dynamic range a lot, and I think they wanted to sound that way for this installment of FFIV. Basically what I mean in short is that they wanted this to be original but with a few, small & unrecognizable tweaks so it will stay original as is without losing it’s "originality" ranges of sound. However I managed to have a very clean & high quality mp3 version of this remastered soundtrack in VBR available for download below. As you may know, the original sound version consists of 44 tracks while the remastered version has a total of 57 tracks.

I hope some of you all can thank me for contributing via reply! ^_^
P.S. — Stay tuned if you’re interested in V & VI remastered versions as I’m still on the hunt and I’ll post them in the appropriate topics!
I’m no professional, but I can’t understand why they included resampling frequency mirroring since I’d imagine there wouldn’t be such artifacts when playing the game on the console.
I said the same thing myself. ^_^
FFIV is awesome, I like only four FF games, IV, V, VI and IX, and IV is my absolute favourite of them.
