Are there any plans for a release of this score?

Ah man that sucks! I was curious about this one as id never heard anything by Lucas before, but i was pleasantly surprised when i saw the movie the score was really good. Hope they release at some point soonish.

I adore L.Vidal lol....

At first I was little worried when I heard Brian Tyler was not going to compose the score for Fast & Furious 6; especially since the previous 3 films had excellent scores in my opinion. I heard Lucas Vidal was going to do the score and I, probably like many, never heard of him. I tracked down his score for the the film, "The Cold Light of Day" and really enjoyed what he composed.

I saw Fast & Furious 6 last night (I loved it so hard) and was blown away by the score. He managed to stay true to the Brian Tyler themes from the previous films while still creating a fresh take on them. Additionally, his original pieces were well written and really added to the intensity of the movie. The tank chase music is friggin' epic! I really hope this score gets an official release because I will be all over it!

Just so you know, some of Brian Tyler's music was used in the film along with Lucas Vidal's score.
Regardless, I hope a release of Vidal's score comes soon.

You guys should check out The Raven. If you like RCP scores, that is. It has a very RCP sound to it. I enjoyed it.

I know there are some people here who loathe it or go so far as to call it rubbish, but I am not alone when I say that I love RCP. I'm a huge RCP fanboy. Now I'm also a fan of Maurice Jarre, John Williams, Jerry Goldsmith and many others that have a vast difference than that of RCP. But I really do love my RCP. The Lion King (my favorite film score next to Judgement Day), Transformers, TDK, Inception, TRON: Legacy (not entirely an RCP product, but they were involved) and Pirates (NOT On Stranger Tides) are some of my favorites and get the most love on my iPod.

Now I'm also a fan of Maurice Jarre, John Williams, Jerry Goldsmith and many others that have a vast difference than that of RCP.

Simz is absolutely right, the score for this movie is absolutely beautiful. And the film itself is one of my all time favourites, fantastic movie. See it as soon as you can my friend!

Ok, so I haven't found any news whether or not the score will be released or when, but I did find on Lucas Vidal's production company's site 3 track previews at Mumo (http://www.mumoproductions.com/)

Hopefully this is a sign of an official release.

I am one of the many fans of Mr. Lucas Vidal's compositions and I don't know if anyone at Mumo Productions will be able to answer this as I am uncertain how the fim score industry works, but are there plans to have an official release of Mr. Vidal's score for "Fast & Furious 6" and if so, is there a tentative release date that is able to be disclosed?

I particularly enjoyed the music in this film and I, like many others I'm sure, would certainly love to hear this work recreationally.

Glad you are a fan of the music!! We all worked quite hard on it...

Unfortunately, there are not plans for releasing it at this time commercially. But it wouldn't shock me if the powers that be decide to do so before the end of the year.... we'll see!!
