I think there's a 1.11 and 2.22 as well. They appear to be new hi def episodes based on the original Evangelion series. I'm guessing it's a pretentious mechanism for labeling the new work.

The .0 versions (Evangelion 1.0, 2.0., 3.0) are the films as they appeared in the theaters. 1.11, 2.22 and 3.33 are home video versions with (in some cases) extra scenes and subtle technical corrections. Each film's individual OST is identical in either version, though.

Were there any major differences in 3.33? Since Funimation's still dicking around with a new video release, I torrented a subtitled rip of the Japanese 3.33 DVD, but it looks like it's got the same runtime as 3.0.

(Speaking of which, did Funimation lose the distribution rights or something? They haven't said anything about the video delay since December, and now it's having a ripple effect on the video releases in Europe and Australia. The theatrical showings are pretty much dead in the States, but Funi's been ignoring everyone asking about it on their comment boards...all the secrecy is making me worry that they've really fucked something up, and they're having to renegotiate it for the DVD/Blu-Ray release.)

The home video delay is quite odd. I'd be surprised if they lost the distribution rights, but I wouldn't rule out some other kind of technical/financial screw up. Their excuse that they didn't release it in February because of overwhelming theatrical demand seems pretty fishy.

Thanks for the clarification on 3.33! I also noticed that the Right Stuf's recent print catalog has the video release set for "Summer 2014"...incredibly vague, but at least it's something. Granted, I'm not holding my breath since that's HIGHLY tentative.

I'm still fairly convinced that something went horribly wrong...seriously, I can't remember Funimation being so quiet about a video release, especially one as anticipated as 3.33. They're pretty much alienating their customers for reasons that don't make any sense.

For your Evangelion 3.33 Soundtrack file, Megaupload perpetually fails downloading it. Mega works fine for any of the others it seems (tested them). Megaupload simply says "Temporary Error, Retrying" message for that specific file. (It's been doing that for about 3 days now; I've tried once per day).
