Being a huge fan of Thomas Newman's music, I felt frustrated that so many scores were unreleased.
Therefore I have been on a quest these past few weeks and have been recording many of those missing scores directly from the movies.

Internet is a great place and I was able to find a lot more than I expected. The downside is that almost none of those scores are isolated and have therefore speech and sound effects most of the time (it's better than nothing). But some tracks don't and I thought it would be a good idea to make a compilation with most of them. :)

Quality will vary depending on the source I was able to find: VHS rip, DVD, Blu-Ray, Webrip in mono, stereo or 5.1. Read the text file included for more information.

Tracks with * have been edited for this compilation: the beginning and/or end of the track has been cut off (because of speech or sound effects) or fade in/out has been added. Some tracks have nonetheless occasional sound effects and/or speech.

If you have them, I am obviously interested in having better sources, not to mention the scores without the sound effects and speech. I would also like to find the few missing scores...

Hey there, consider me late to the game but I just found your post after searching for some rare Thomas Newman (AVID fan here, have some of his never-released stuff myself) and when I try to use the link you have posted, I get an "oops" page. Is there a way I can get the full scores for these from you? And if you have anything else from "The Newsroom", I would LOVE it. Just let me know!

Edit: PM seems to be unavailable, I cannot send you a message. I am also an AVID fan, so I would be very interested in knowing what you have and in trading. :) I can definitely share the full scores (including The Newsroom) with you if you don't mind sound effects and speech.

I tried it again with Safari instead of Chrome and that seemed to do the trick, but it hasn't finished downloading yet so I'll let you know if I need anything.

I have several of his soundtracks that are pretty rare, such as "Less Than Zero", "Whispers in the Dark", "Men Don't Leave", and the actual "Fried Green Tomatoes" soundtrack. Pretty sure those are the rarest I have but I can let you know more when I get home from work and look through them.
