When kGray shared the complete score for the 2002 movie 'Signs' I was very, very happy. Not that there was much music missing, it�s just that with JNH more music usually makes for a more rounded and cohesive listening experience. Of course I would do one of my Deluxe Editions someday and... well, that day is now :) My initial impression that the lossy files kGray provided sounded better may have been wrong as I was unable to find sonic differences between the lossy tracks and the same tracks from my OST I grabbed before I started. Yet the impression that the lossy files sounded superior persisted... which most likely means that I was imagining things. Anyway, just to be sure I used the lossy files for my remastering, they were of such high quality (which is rare) that I wasn�t even required to fake a full frequency response.

I started to work on this score yesterday after I was finished updating 'The Sorcerer's Stone' and work went so fast because I knew exactly what I wanted. I had already "remastered" the contents of my CD a year ago and I liked what I achieved; as a result I simply repeated my changes. This time however I changed dynamics; I made soft parts louder and loud parts softer, exactly like on my Harry-Potter-versions (though not as extreme). The OST sounded well thanks to the lovely engineering by Shawn Murphy so I did only slight changes to equalization and staging. Yes, IMO it�ll sound better than the official CD - but opinions might differ. I don�t care, I like it ;) I also combined some tracks, out of 23 I made 17 tracks. Don�t worry, everything that was on the bootleg is also on my version although two tracks have been... well, placed elsewhere ;)

In the original thread (Thread 126620) for kGray's files the famous L.M. Rojas provided some beautiful covers and since I�m a lazy person I simply copied his design (with a few slight changes). I hope he doesn�t mind. I took those design a step further however by adding a few more alternatives, one includes the titlecard that could be seen in the credits of the movie (it�s the one in the lower right corner). Especially for that cover I created fitting Jewel Case inlay and back cover. In the end however you may decide what you like best.

Indeed, there seems to be a problem with the archive: Winrar assumes that part 2 of the RAR-file is called "WaterIsPoisonous.part2_0" - this isn�t true. If Winrar asks for it just give it the part 2 you downloaded (WaterIsPoisonous.part2). It will unpack without problems.

But just in case (I know how people can be) I�ll upload it again in a few hours. For all of you who follow these instructions the download will still work until then.

EDIT: even simpler... just rename WaterIsPoisonous.part1_0 to WaterIsPoisonous.part1

You should read my description, in it�s stated that I combined tracks. Naturally they won�t turn up on the tracklist then. 'Pizza Parlour' for example is attached to 'Recruiting Office', 'Through the Telescope' is attached to 'Interesting Developments'.

I would put in a request for another JNH score but to say these deluxe editions are good is an understatement. They do capture the true sound of the score and put your ears on notice. 'The Village' or even 'Hunger Games' (though its a short one) would be well received. All I'm saying is I admire your work and if I had even the hint of such talent, I would do it myself :)
