I'd be interested to know.

I mainly play Xianghua, Sueng Mina, Nightmare, and Yoshimitsu. I'm sort of learning Sophitia too but I'm not sure how I like her just yet.

Raphael, Nightmare, Kilik. Raphael's a bit of a cheap character in that there's one move you can consecutively use to really annoy your opponent (forward+triangle three times.) Kilik's got a little more skill involved with him, and if you can keep Nightmare moving and swinging his sword around, you can cause a lot of damage.

I also want to try and get better with Yunsung. He seems to have some combos I could get into...

I use Talim a lot, she's fast and has many setups to good combos and counters.

I also use Kilik and abuse his df+AB throw... people call me sadistic. :D

Maxi!! He's a button masher for beginners and quite easy to use.. I own all my friends with him.

I also use Kilik and Seung Mina, since both of them are almost alike.

I can use just about anybody in the game to pretty brutal effects, but my favorite is Seung Mina, followed by Kilik, Link, Talim, and Cervantes.

Haven't played any other version so I don't know about Hiachi (however you spell it) and Spawn, though I keep hearing that Spawn is like hella-powerful.

Whenever I play Soul Calibur 2 against my housemate James, and we're playing Team Battle random select, and we're selecting 8 players, and one of us gets Heihachi, we always see that as a handicap. Basically, I think he's a useless pile of toss.

That's just my opinion. And James'.

Talim is my character. I prefer playing evasively over straight up blocking, so she's like my ideal. Plus, there are few things more gratifying then beating down some guy with Talim dressed in her pink Sailor Moon esque costume.

I'd love to get really good with Taki or Ivy too.

I use Nightmare which is where I got my name from. He doesn't give the enemy much of a chance to attack because the transition of his attacks are seamless.

Mitsurugi is far and away my best character. ;D I'm pretty good with Talim, also. Haven't played the game in a while, though. :B

Yunsung is the best! I also play as Mitsurugi and Spawn, both fucking excellent characters. Spawn has some great flying moves. Does anyone ever play as the lil secret/extra characters? Ya know, Berserker etc.

EDIT: Yay! 600! Still nothing special:D

But that's not even a throw, and it sucks. O_o

On very hard survival mode, I got 73 wins with Mitsurugi. He's my favorite :D

I use Ivy.

She has a healthy amount of close range and far ranged attacks and a bit tricky to work with. On top of that, she had one of the most powerful throws (not sure how powerful it is in this eddition) known as summon suffering.

I'd put Cervantes a close second.

Goddamn, you are exactly like my friend... he is the only person I've played that can actually beat me when i have Seung Mina... and he always plays as Ivy, with Cervantes as a backup... I fucking hate Ivy.

Ivy's got the most powerful move in the game.

Pity I can't remember the name of it. :(

She seems really hard to master, but I think it would be worth it- I've seen people kick so much ass with Ivy when they were playing her well.

Yeah, everyone tried beating me with her. I am too much a Soul Calibur master too lose, especially with her, I even rotated out characters I'm bad with and I didn't lose until round 10 when someone picked Spawn on the xbox version and I was a whimpy Xingahou.

She is hard to master, but I've learned to do a ton of devestating combos and tricks on people.

My favorite is Nigthmare. Link, Mitsurugi,Seung Mina and Sophitia/Cassandra are also some characters I like to play with. Haven't tried the PS2 and X-Box versions, but I can understand why Heihachi would be a pain. I mean, having no weapon in a weapon-based fighting game ? That IS quite an handicap.

I haven't been playing a lot recently, too. Lack of time and too many other games to play. That explains why I'm "intermediate" at the very best.

Ivy because of the whip-sword. And Ralfal because I just learned his moves easy, recently Mitsurugi.

Link has got to be my best character. I just can't get enough of the " jump on'm and smack their butt and chuck'm off the edge' move.

Just how good is Link?

I heard he is a good to a point of unfairness...

The only thing that makes him good is long ranged attacks really. If you know how to sidestep (anybody that's played the game for more than 10 minutes) he's not very powerful. I still like playing with him though, because i like throwing bombs at people.

Link mostly only seems unfair if people get him early on, but once you get familiar with the game, he's about average or so. He does have some pretty cool moves. And his standard throw is a huge pain in the ass because it's really easy to get ring outs with it. =\

Kilik is my main man. I can do some cheap shit with him.

Mitsurugi runs a close second. you can just do his down-forward-triangle and they never get to attack.

Yoshimitsu is cool as it talim. I would use voldo but i can't get the combos just right with him.
