Hi everyone.
Tomorrow, I'm hosting a game of "The Settlers of Catan" and knowing that there's lots of soundtrack/music lovers here, I thought I'd ask for advice what music could be suitable.
Any suggestions? :) Thanks!

Personally, I think it would depend on what kind of a mood you're trying to achieve.
If you're going for an action-packed feel, then I'd suggest the Tron: Legacy & Transformers score, and the like.
If you're wanting more of a laid back atmosphere, then I'd recommend some of these:
-SOUNDSHOCK 2: FM FUNK TERRROR!! (

-Wintertunes (

-Autumntunes (

-Summertunes (

-Springtunes (

-or just about anything else from UbikTune (

In just about any case, I could recommend a few specific artists/composers:
-John Williams
-Harry Gregson-Williams
-Hans Zimmer
-Klaus Badelt
-Alan Sylvestri
They all have a fair mix of easy-going and action-packed and everything in the middle.

I've often been intrigued by the idea of running a D&D campaign with my own music soundtrack to fit the mood of the dungeon/level/town/area the players are in to set the mood like a game does.

The obvious choice would be music from a civ-building game or a fantasy RTS. So I'd go with:
Civilization IV
Civilization V (not as fitting as IV)
Anno 1701
Anno 1404
Settlers (Die Siedler) V, VI & VII (the best choice I think)
Age of Empires I & II (I guess III would be OK, too)
Age of Mythology
Have fun!

Oh, and if you like Settlers of Catan, you should really, really try "Kingsburg", which is a similar boardgame with less downtime and better strategy (even though dice play a central role in it). No more turns where you say "pass". Once we played Kingsburg in my house, Catan has been gathering dust...
