Whats the most addictive game ever/ game you spend the longest playing?

Has to be Championship Manager 03-04 for me... It's like Pringles... Once you start you just can't stop.

Morrowind. I lost three months of my life playing this game. No kidding. It was the summer of "up at 6.30am, work from 8am-4pm. Home by 4.30pm. Eat dinner, get washed and changed, get on game at 5.30pm, finish at about 11pm, repeat each day."

Yeah, I was quite addicted. Strangely, my social life wasn't really too impeded by said addiction.

I could not agree with you more. While my schedule was wake up, play for an hour, go to school, come home, watch yugioh and dbz, then play until bed, that game is the most addicting ever. That's why im making a club for it (am I allowed to say that?)

Not really, but I'm obsessed with it right now and I can't stop playing it.

Also the Championship Manager series. For me, the peak of my addiction was at 00/01.

Apart from that, Tetris, and maybe Snake 2 on my mobile is a weak contender. It's crap, but I just keep having one more go.

Zuma (http://www.popcap.com/launchpage.php?theGame=zuma&src=big8)! Specifically, the downloadable version. I've addicted the rest of my family as well... >:D

As for game I've played the most...possibly FFX, which I've logged over 200 hours on so far and still have tons to do in. Although there are tons of other games I play that don't count total time logged, so who knows. Morrowind, everything Black Isle/Bioware/Square have released, etc.

I once had a demo of a level from Tony Hawk 2. I played it to death. No joke. I played the DEMO for hours on end. Tony Hawk is certainly a series which defines the idea of "just one more try". I play each new one tons. The latest kicks ass by the way. Im also partial to a nice game of Alpha Centauri.

Yes, you have already mentioned this once, I think we get the point...

In terms of games that have stood the test of time, and that I still pick up and play for an hour or so, Tetris is way up there as well. Even though it's years old, it's one of those games that can be horribly addictive. I remember over Christmas, I was showing my nephew the old Gameboy (and he laughed at it...) But I ended up giving Tetris a whirl because I was bored. I think I finally regained my senses about two hours later.

I remember when I first got the Gameboy, my brother and I would take turns playing Tetris to beat each other's high scores. Great stuff, but as he was 10 years older than me, and I was only 10, 11, he kept on beating me. :(

Most addictive game for me is most definitely Diablo 2. I've got a level 73 Paladin, level 30 Necromancer, level 27 Sorceress, level 6 hardcore assassin and level 3 Barbarian..

Also, FFX. I have yet to get all the items to get the ultimate weapons for several of the characters, especially Tidus and Lulu. I hate the Thunder Plains. And that damn Chocobo racing thing. Grrrr.......

I have to agree with Jamie. The Dynasty Warriors games, in particular Dynasty Warriors 4 and 4 Xtreme Legends. Ever since I got hooked on this series, with Dynasty Warriors 2, I've played all of them, except the first one.

What I found so interesting about this game series, and also Dynasty Tactics 2 (I haven't played the first Dynasty Tactics), I found a copyof the novel these games are based on, is the novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms, which is a EXCELLENT read!

But I've strayed off topic. Dynasty Warriors 4 Xtreme Legends (After loading the original data from Dynasty Warriors 4), to me, are not just a great game to kill time, but also, in my case, was very fulfilling. Especially if I'm a little... angered, annoyed, etc, etc. Playing this game, always helps me calm down and feel.... better, yes?

So my vote goes to Dynasty Warriors!

Everywhere I go, people always talk about having Halo parties at their houses. The game seems like your normal first-person shooter, but once you start playing it, you immediately become addictive to it.

The snake game from the Nokia phones is just that old QBASIC game Nibbles. As far as QBASIC goes, Gorillas was my most addictive game. Monkeys on rooftops throwing exploding bananas at each other, you had to put the angle and force at which they threw the banana. Yeah, it was great, especially when you started screwing with the wind velocity and gravity values.

And Chip's Challenge on the old Winblows 95/98 was fun. Anyone ever complete it, though?

for me it has to be any of those deceptively simple puzzlers, like BAM, Puyo Puyo etc. or even Sphere Break, LOL!

Edna: Yeah me too! I'll buy Pikmin 2 soon baby, soon.

Hmm... most of the games I get make me addicted. Mainly because I make sure there good before I buy them. But, I found that:

The Final Fantasy Series,Suikoden II, Animal Crossing [for a while it was], Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Crash Bandicoot 3, Counter-strike, Guild Wars [does BETA count?] & Unreal Tournament

were/are the most addicting games I have ever played.

Harvest Moon. I have FoMT for my GBA and I've wasted many, many, many hours playing it.

I get addicted to games like that, with no definite ending, like the Sims or building games such as Caeser III.
