Great share. Great job on the tags. I should warn some that if you are particular about genre, this is tagged General Film Music. I realize this is a personal preference so I won't suggest yours is improper.
Please support Intrada and buy a copy if you enjoy this.

Jerry in Africa is always a fun ride. Love the feeling of adventure of the "Expedition Theme", that appears right after the Spirit of Africa chant on the first track, and in a few other, 'The Rapids', 'Deep Jungle' and 'Bail Out'.
Thanks for sharing into the storm.

Thank you! I loved the book, hated the movie. everybody overacted, Amy's method of communication was trivialised compared to the book, and the volcanic eruption reminded me of primary school science projects.
On the other hand, the music was fantastic!

This is surprisingly good. Once I cut out the African chants then there are actually some great themes. I wouldn't have expected it to be very good based on the album.

Thanks! I hope to pick this up soon. It's too bad such a good book was made into such a horrible film.

Sirusjr if you like Congo that much i would recommend Goldsmith the Ghost and the Darkness. Much of the elements of Congo (african chants, exotic instruments and percussion, small doses of synth infusions, adventure themes), served as basis for the Ghost and the Darkness, and developed in an even more memorable score in my opinion.

Solomon's King theme is a bad Indiana Jones spoof, and i hated all those ride of the valkyries inclusions. Don't like that score...

Thanks "into the storm" for posting this excellent soundtrack to a very mediocre film. I always thought this was Michael Crichton's best novel.

Excuse me for not being one of most people then... Seriously, let me put it this way: Why would you assume that almost everyone registered here at ffshrine knows about you and your posts? I have certain "standards" when it comes to my uploads, but i don't think everyone knows them. Besides...
Thread 98919
This is just a message for uploaders about the new plan to keep the forums a bit cleaner. As of late, there has been a lot of mirror threads being posted that really clutter up a section, so as a way to combat this, here's a few new guidelines to follow when creating a thread and for the posting of new links.
1. Title Format
The soundtrack name is a given, but if possible and when the soundtrack name isn't too long to add any info, it would be best to add which format the soundtrack is in, such as FLAC, MP3, OGG, M4A or whatever, also the bit rate if it's MP3, like 320, 256, 224, 192, vbr etc. The composer name would also be a plus to be included, but it's not a priority if there's not enough room. When there's not enough room for additional information, please add it to the thread itself, it really does help others that have a preference when it comes to bit rates/format. This will also help mods to merge threads if any do happen to slip through.
Here's an example: Slect Hotel - Jrme Coullet (1996) [FLAC + 320]

Calidoran - most posters do put bitrate in their posts but you can usually tell by the size of the file if it is a bitrate you want. You'll see complaints if it is something other than 320 or v0. As for the tracklist, it is obviously from Intrada so you can go there to check. I rarely post tracklists on my posts because they just clutter it up and most people already know what it is that they want.

I was thinking more in the lines of is it FLAC/APE/MP3 or something else... This is one of my posts:
