Thanks. It's interesting, going by the slates there appears to be no source music in the film. Has anyone seen it?

It looked retarded honestly. Maybe one day I'll see it. I do like Anthony Mackie

"Retarded"

Really? Hello, the 18th century called and it wants its word back.

As for the film, yeah it was over the top and silly but in a good way. The idea that President Lincoln was a master of axe-fu makes me smile.

Well, remember that the idea of the film came from the book written by a guy who also mashed Pride and Prejudice with zombies.

"Retarded"

Really? Hello, the 18th century called and it wants its word back.

Father time called and wants that phrase back.

You must not live in the US, cause here everyone still uses that word in the context in which I just used it. If you DO live in the US, it must be under a rock.

Also, I was not aware that word existed in the 1700's. You learn something new every day!

Killgrave

I don't live under a rock. I live under a bridge with my troll brothers and we spend our evenings lying in wait for unwary travelers whereupon we capture them and eat them. (Cook until golden brown serve them with a nice red wine and salad. Lady fingers for dessert.)

And the bridge is in America. I can tell because its painted red, white and blue.

But when not devouring pedestrians I volunteer my time and work with the handicapped, many of them children, who were born with mental and physical problems because their mothers drank or did did drugs during pregnancy. (One young lad spent the first three years of his life strapped into a high chair and his mother used him as a human ashtray. He has the cigarette burns to prove it.)

We work very hard to undo the damage and no one uses the word "retarded" or "tard" (if you are looking for a more up to date word) at least in the part of America where I live. Maybe enlightenment hasn't reached your part of America. Perhaps I can send some folks your way to help elevate your thinking.

After all, would you use the word "gay" to describe something that isn't cool or not quite right?

(One young lad spent the first three years of his life strapped into a high chair and his mother used him as a human ashtray. He has the cigarette burns to prove it.)

That's very humble of you to do that. I've done a lot of volunteer work with disabled people, and still do from time to time with my church. I took a risk saying that, and you and I both know everyone uses it like that to this day.

After all, would you use the word "gay" to describe something that isn't cool or not quite right?

I won't lie, I have before. And again, everybody does. Now does that justify me using the word like that? No, it does not. But whatever, it's in the past. Like I said, I took a risk saying what I said. Everyone does it from time to time. Enlightenment has reached NY, I was just expressing how the film looked to me. I know I'm not the only one hear to use these words like I did, and I know people will continue to use them. I said what I said, it can't be undone (not gonna remove them as that would be cowardly), and it's on the past now...so before this thread turns into something it shouldn't, let's move on

Also, I was not aware that word existed in the 1700's. You learn something new every day!
Actually it was coined in the 15th century... Around 1487, I believe. It's Italian, and in music composition basically means "slow" or "to slow down". In fact, it's still used in music today, mostly in classical and orchestral settings (ironic, huh?).

Also, things like mattresses and some clothes that have been made to be slow to catch fire, are called fire retardant. There are also retarded people. I don't just volunteer, but working with the developmentally disabled has been my career for the last 14 years. Retard is not a bad word, and was never initially intended as a slur, but like so many, it's just not used properly anymore.

Anywho, glad you 2 hugged it out (:D) and THANKS for this complete score! Still haven't seen the film, but I've been intrigued ever since the first preview! Corny? Sure... but hey, it's certainly an original premise and that is rare anymore!

... liked the movie a lot, though it wasn't as good as I thought it was going to be, it wasn't the disaster some people expected. I think the pace was off, too serious when it should've been funny and too dumb when it could've been darker. But the score is great, so I'm checking this out. Thank you!
