isnt itunes highest quality 256kbpc aac? wouldnt converting that to 320kbps mp3 a bit misleading as the file as already lost anything above 256?

Does it really matter that much? I was just offering an MP3 version of the song for people to download as it's free of DRM. When I purchase the soundtracks later this year, it'll be the highest quality available for sure.

Don't worry about it at all. I just figured people would want an MP3 version with no DRM as I think it's illegal to share songs from iTunes to more than five people? I dunno the details anymore, it's changed a lot over the years. I definitely always try to rip the highest quality available and have started doing FLAC if it's requested, so look forward to Lightning Returns, Drakengard 3, and possibly Versus XIII later this year! :)

Well, if the PS4 rumor is true, it and its OST could be out by the end of the year and I would definitely import both.

fyi, there hasn't been DRM in itunes music files in years.
That m4a isn't protected in any way. It's actually an .aac file in a container.

The other Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII composer, Naoshi Mizuta has released a track from the soundtrack as well called 'The Saviour'. If anyone has the download for it, I would be very grateful. Thank you.

Man I hated Naoshi Mizuta before FFXIII-2. He has some hidden talent that he isn't able to use too often, because ALL of his newest stuff is incredible. Including this.

This was ripped from a preview site. It is the full song. I didnt investigate too much on the quality but it looks to be VBR running with an average of 128kbps. So not the best. If someone has a better one that would be awesome!

Because this track was never distributed as mp3 so the one you linked is either ripped from youtube or re-encoded from the original .m4a, which sucks either ways.. ^^;;
