"Taiga drama (大河ドラマ Taiga dorama "Big River Drama") is the name NHK gives to the annual, year-long historical fiction television series it broadcasts in Japan. Beginning in 1963 with the black-and-white Hana no Shogai, starring kabuki actor Onoe Shoroku and Takarazuka star Awashima Chikage, the network has hired a producer, director, writer, music director, and actors for the series. The 45-minute show airs on the NHK General network every Sunday at 20:00, with rebroadcasts on Saturday afternoon at 13:05. This is a thread that lists all Taiga Drama series made since the first year to today and their respective soundtracks.
Not every series had a soundtrack release on its time, especially in the early years, although there are some compilation albums covering all the main intro theme, but fro more recent years each series had its own soundtrack release (sometimes more than just one edition), and many of them were shared in the forum.
As a curiosity the upcoming series for year 2013 has been announced, and the composer chosen to score is Nobuyuki Nakajima.

Pardon me for quoting my own post, but I wanted to be certain the NHK Taiga Drama enthusiasts would see this. I found two links (no indication of uploader) for Gunshi Kanbei, Volume 2 by Yugo Kanno (MP3 320kbps - 173Mb - Total time 1:15:11).
