With nearly 100 tracks for The Avengers here, is there any chance of missing tracks or other "lost" tracks that may not have been included? I'm getting this version for now, but would be very interested in other tracks if they are available

There are missing cues, probably. But the good thing is we have this right now and it's all because of scorepranos.

I just finished watching this on blu-ray and it's still growing on me. I liked how the score is mixed and utilized in the grand assembly. Cant wait for part 2. :D

So, here it is, scorepranos complete score minus 10:26 minutes of silence (and a guy talking). I did only cut out the silence with mp3DirectCut, the tracks were NOT reencoded, so no quality loss compared to the original release.
I added the 2 source tracks not available on any Marvel album:

String Quartet No.13 in A minor D804- 'Rosamunde'- I. Allegro ma non troppo (Franz Schubert) by Tak�cs Quartet
Black Dirt by Emile Millar (recorded from his MySpace page, since I didn't find any mp3 or lossless versions)

The other 2 source songs are available through the Avengers Assembled album and the Iron Man 2 album by AC-DC.

No way... While Zimmer isn't the "greatest composer of all time" that some people say he is, he still makes incredible music. James Newton Howard's influence is sorely missed (making TDKR score the weakest of the batman trilogy) but still superior to The Avengers score. That's my opinion anyway.

I plan not to make comments about it but since a Zimmer fan had spoken well if TDKR is the point of comparison I would definitely have to go with this, without Newton Howard's touch TDKR score came out pale heck even Batman Arkham City is way better. And that's my opinion too.

LOL. I'm just a clone. But if I would have the hand, then I would probably chose to retain him for the score. About Capt. America 2 I have no idea yet if He will be returning but I hope he does return too.

I don't know but since C2: Winter Soldier would be in the present setting It wouldn't matter much if Silvestri will be coming back for the score or not in my opinion. A new start and a new theme would be nice I guess.

In The Avengers, after Tony returns to his apartment where Pepper is, There is some smooth music playing in the back ground. I know it's not "2m20AA Lot's Of Work To Do Pt1" or "Pt2". It comes immediately after, "2m18 Stark Goes Green" pretty much leading into it.

Hmmm. I tried to have a listen to that part but it's too soft and even unrecognizable on my end in fact I only noticed that there's one because you made mention of it.

From my recollections, I heard none in between those cues but I'm not really sure. Have you find out what it is then?

I have to disagree completely. I love Silvestri's scores, especially the Back to the Future trilogy and The Avengers. Honestly, I prefer everything about The Avengers to The Dark Knight Rises, and I'm a big Batman fan. TDKR was too dark, hardly any levity, and Chris Nolan's version of Bruce Wayne is the worst "World's Greatest Detective" period.

I like this score a lot, but I would really like to have it without the long silences and the person talking, but all edits are gone already...

Not convinced! Sorry to disappoint all the Nolanites and Zimmer fans but It there's anything i could think whenever i hear TDKR it's the word "Overrated". Batman, Batman begins and TDK remains my top batman movie. Watching Rises once almost made me sleep for the first hour and the so called "epic" encounter scene with all the rioters seems like a casual meeting of friends and not a fight for survival battle zone. And the music, it's okay but seems more to me like a re hash weaker version of TDK heck the Batman Arkham music is way better than "TDK Rises"

Like robww, I prefer TDKR and its score to the Avengers and its score. That being said, I also agree with grannygooz that TDKR doesn't even compare to Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, and also their respective scores. For me, neither film lived up to the hype.

I could watch Avengers over and over and still enjoy it while I can't do the same with TDKR which is quite boring for the most part. The score of TDKR is okay but I prefer the music of Silvestri. For me Avengers lived up to it's hype!, Whedon combined just the right elements to make the film stay closer to the comic book storyline yet still makes the film enjoyable and fun to watch like most who have seen it making it the top comicbook movie adaptation!

Really? It's like watching teenage girls going at it (no offense to any teenage girls :D). This is kinda ridiculous though. If referencing Thanksgiving alienates non Americans, then I suppose saying "Merry Christmas" alienated any non religious? Please.
