I lurked on this website for many years, and I even joined a couple years back, but I rarely said my thanks when I downloaded stuff from here, such as the video gaming music. Seeing how that kind of behavior is unacceptable (in my opinion at least), I decided to do something about it. Not only will I say my thanks for now on when I download stuff here, but I think it is time that I started uploading and sharing video gaming music with this very community, preferably the ones that are really rare, or ones uploaded by users in a form that is usually unplayable, is uncommon, or takes up a hunk of memory, such as FLAC or APE music files, unless they are converted into more common type of files such as MP3 or WAV files, which many users probably don't know how to do.

Regarding the situation when it comes to the uncommon music file types, I will ask the original uploader who shared such uncommon music file types for his or her permission on whether I can convert them into both MP3 and WAV file forms and make a separate topic myself with the links towards the files I converted myself, all while giving the original uploader the credits and appreciation for sharing the original files in the first place. I think this would be a great way to redeem myself for not giving appreciation towards all the users who took their time to share the video game soundtracks themselves years ago.

Although honestly, I'm not much of a talker, so I won't really chat often, and unfortunately with all the things, work, and especially problems I'm facing and dealing with, I probably won't be uploading as often as I hoped I could, but I will definitely try my best when doing this sort of thing. For now though, I am preparing a soundtrack to share right now as a start.

Order of Final Fantasies I've played: XII, X, VII, VIII, IX and currently playing the steam version of III.
Favourite? Probably XII as it was my first, and at the time had just been released. But then it's the only one I've played through several times with the others only played once.
After I complete III I'll most likely do my second run of X.

I love the music in games - currently in my car I have music from FF games, Street Fighter IV, R-Type, Turrican, Need For Speed, Kirby Returns to Dreamland and Ikaruga just to name a few!

Finally I hope everyone had a great E3 this week, there are some amazing games coming out!

I'm DRBlanton89, I've been leeching for a few years now..... and I can't believe I didn't use my other, actual more common username when I made this account, unless there's already a RhoadsOfRock registered here.
I am a video gaming nerd, mostly with a passion for older, obsolete generations of games and consoles..... pretty much anything from the NES and onward, although I also own an old Atari 2600, and a small assortment of games. I do plan to stop getting anything new, or newer however, because I'm getting tired of even trying to keep up with the developers anymore. I still have long lists of games I wanted, even 10 or 15 years ago, but to this day even for the Wii and PS3. Anyway, I'm not sure if I'll buy a PS4 or Wii U, but they're not considerations I've discarded yet. I feel that if Majora's Mask is EVER remade for the Wii U, then that will make me buy the console! Otherwise if it's for the 3DS, I don't know that I will buy a Wii U. But anyway.....

I have also played World of Warcraft, I started back in the summer of '08, I was pretty much a fan of the past Warcraft games, grew up playing the first two as a kid, and in a nutshell, I feel like the game was more fun during TBC, than it is now. I feel like at this point Blizzard is just keeping the game on life-support so they can milk all the money they still want out of it. Otherwise, they NEED to move on to something new, besides Starcraft II and Diablo III - but these are just my opinions..... Doesn't mean I speak for everybody or anything, I'm not here to get into a heated discussion over that (that's what the cesspool of "General Discussion" on Blizzards forums are for).

Besides gaming, I've also been a guitar player for the past 14 years. I wouldn't say I'm a pro, or as good as say Jimmy Page, or Randy Rhoads, or Dragonforce or Powerglove..... but I enjoy playing what I can. Other musical interests have included the Beatles, the Ramones, Green Day, Nine Inch Nails, The Melvins, Nirvana and Red Hot Chili Peppers. And everything else in between.

Anyway, there's literally only one video game soundtrack I even have, and that's the 3-disc japan release for Chrono Trigger, which I believe is already uploaded here anyway (I believe I checked not too long ago to make sure). Actually, I do have this one Sonic soundtrack CD..... not for "Sonic CD" or "Sonic The Hedgehog CD", but rather, I think it came with my "Sonic Underground" dvd set, and I don't remember how many tracks are on it, but one day I'll get around to ripping it and possibly uploading it.

Otherwise many of the video game OST's that I do have now, I've more than likely downloaded from here, I remember in particular I was looking for the Super Mario RPG one for the longest time, and the Legend of Zelda "Sound & Drama" one. I've also recently downloaded the Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask ones :)

Anyway, enough for now. I feel like I went overboard with this introduction. So anyway, I will probably retract to my leeching ways once again :P

Howdy. Coolerking here (or Hilts... just make it Hilts). Middle-aged but young at heart Englishman who loves movies and music and especially movie music. My favourite score is probably John Barry's for THE QUILLER MEMORANDUM a terrific cold war spy movie.

Also a gamer going way back to the 1980s on my BBC Model B. ELITE was and probably still is my favourite game. Looking forward to this new one they've got going.

The ones I wanted the most were Persona 3 and 4 and The World Ends With You. I think I got that latter one somewhere else though. I'm really glad I joined up - it was definitely worth it :)

Anyway, I'm a collector of sorts picking up whatever I might be interested in. I've got some rare stuff regarding animation from Disney and some other things... with much persistence I finally tracked down a very elusive art book that isn't published anymore... I expect I'll enjoy my time here :)

Hey guys. My name's Greg. I'm a musician from Nashville, TN. I've performed at numerous anime conventions in numerous bands, and I am a big Final Fantasy fan. I do not own a PS4, and am waiting on buying one until after my wedding (because I'm saving up for a wedding and not spending money on next gen consoles), but I will probably buy one shortly after, and will buy it almost exclusively for Square Enix titles (FF15, KH3, FF7 remake).

Hi, Name is Shively and I am a lucky guy. I have been collecting Game music since 1998 and enjoy gaming very much. No one will believe me but for almost 11 years I've gone out with a girl who is into gaming and is Japanese.. Used to run a website and irc chat for game music fans and collectors but lost touch with the online group for the most part.

Came back here to get back into it and out of all the community's that are into sharing VG music etc, FF Shrine is by far the nicest.

Some of you might recognize me from elsewhere on the interwebs as "JILost"; that was originally my nick here as well, but I decided to do something different this time. I've been into VGM for over 25 years (and collected physical albums for a few years), have a bunch of MIDI files (of varying quality) on vgmusic.com and other places, am on soundcloud, and generally try to stick my head into whatever VGM-related groups and sites I possibly can. I'll watch anime here and there though. It's just another kind of animation, I don't see any reason to avoid it.
