at the top of my list would be Cassandra from Soul Cal. No reason that I can recall as to where this deep rooted hatred for this character began, maybe it was the fact her face is shaped like that of a monkey, or that she is a self-absorbed bitch trying to make herself look good under the guise of loving her sister. Maybe its the fact shes got one crazy ass 70's bush in need of a trim to rid herself of that funky ass camel toe.

Anyways, we all have them, characters we hate, maybe for goood reason, maybe for no reason. Maybe we just want someone to talk shit to when we're all alone. So, who do you hate?

If I was going to pick somebody from Soul Calibur it would definately be Xaingha. I think thats how it's spelled... she screams too much.

HAHAHA ! I have to admit that when I hear her say "Just kidding !" I tend to understand "Just ANNOYING !" ;)

Characters I love to hate ? Mainly bad guys in general. Because,you know, in general in the game I play the hero so it makes sense, neh ?

Xaingha is the reason I went into the options menu and changed the voice language to Japanese... i just can't stand listening to her. At least when they're in japanese they just make funny grunts and random noises.

I thought the original Soul Blade was cool with the mixture of foreign voices mixed in (although Siegfried really needed to talk in German instead of English.)

As for characters I can't stand, there was a kid in Grandia 2 who turned out to be the Prince of the kingdom (later King) and he REALLY got on my tits. I forget his name, but it began with an R. I remember when you left him behind, I was "YES!!! WHOO!!! YAY!!!" And then Mareg went and got himself killed and you crashed in the city I thought "NOOO!!!! HE'S BACK IN THE PARTY!!! NNNNNOOOOO!!!!"

And I can't stand Cait Sith either. I understand him from a storyline point of view, but I can't stand him nevertheless.

I've got a few.

First being, the cockroach Lu Bu from the Dynasty Warriors games. Oh how we hates hims... yessss. I mean, he has the best damn horse in the game, his attacks do a lot of damage and he keeps chasing your character until he kills you! Of course, if you have a character powered up to max and with their ultimate weapon, he's a push over. But until then.... ugh.

Second, Tomator from the Lost Vikings games. I mean, he's a big green/blue guy flying around on a flying chair thingy, and he speaks like an imbecile. Also, his name. How frightening is it to be fighting a guy named after a vegetable?

And finally,

Ramirez, Skies of Arcadia. He's a pompous arrogant little git, who thinks he's the best. I hates him.

In Soul Calibur II, Raphael would speak French, Mitsurugi Japanese, Xianghua Korean and so on.Really, why haven't they thought of that ? It would be very original. It wouldn't cost them more money, they just need to find people that speaks those languages.

The kid in Grandia II was Roan, by the way.

Plus there weren't subtitles so you couldn't make out what Akira said, for instance.

She always loses composure. As I've said before, a test of strength is how you get up when you fall not how you act when things are great. She shows constant weakness. For a woman who can break stuff with her fists, she won't get back up unless someone else encourages her too.

Xinghau from Soul Calbiur

Whiny, irriating, stupid lines, I can't stand her. Its like a cat being tortured.

Luca from Chrono Cross and that stupid professor from FF8

First, Sima Yi from (of course) the Dynasty Warriors games. He's a complete and utter idiot! A BUFFOON! He attacks with... A FAN! And the person doing his voice, sounds as if he's constipated!

Second, Barubary from Breath of Fire II. A three horned, three eyed demon, with a long spiked tail, who is the boss at the very beginning! DAMN! I HATE HIM! Even when you fight him again, the second last boss of the game, he's a mongrel! I hate him... almost as much as I hate Sima Yi, but Sima Yi still wins my most hated character roll, in a game that is.

Algus in FF Tactics for murdering Teta like that.

Every character in Xenosaga except for Rubedo.

Uh...why? I thought Jr. was actually the least likeable of them all for the use of his mainstream like dialouge but greater 'style' contribution than emotional ones. I thought the cast of Xenosaga was perhaps the strongest cast on an RPG so far. Everyone actually had decent dialouge, background, and had the ability for someone to to feel for them on a non synthetic level.

Liete from Grandia. And that stupid bunny from the same game. I must admit I mostly dislike them because of their most annoying German voices and translations. I wanted to kill Liete right after the first time I heard her incredibly boring speech, and I was really NOT amused when I wasn't allowed to kill her but even had to team up with her. And that bunny. Well. Anything that talks with four different accents during the course of a game, is oh-so-super sly and at the same time a damn bunny, and even DARES join my party, well, HATE HATE HATE.
