I just have to comment on "The Corruption" again.
I love love love that tune! Its just as heroic and quirky as it is dark and menacing!!!

I really hope (wish) that this is the true Main Title of the game.
"The Makes Theme" doesn't have quite the punch to be honest.

I'm a little dissapointed. I mean, this is decent electronica, but Darksiders 1 had a pretty good orchestral score. And when Kyd does orchestra he is on the ball. When I heard he was doing the sequel I was really hoping for a very strong orchestral score. Most of the tracks here are ambient, and although some tracks are good overall it pales in comparison to the predecessor.

I just played about 20 minutes of the game. The music in the game sure is very epic. But I can't find a lot of epicness on the official OST.

For instance if you look at this video at 16:11 (no spoilers there): Darksiders 2 Walkthrough - Part 1 Death Lives Let's Play PS3 XBOX PC ( Gameplay / Commentary ) - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KTKbmzA-1tc) you have this cool music I can't find on the OST. So I'm hoping for a rip after a while cause all the great bits are probably left out...

Edit: found it. It's the crowfather. Still hoping for a rip though :):)

Mmmm Jesper Kyd officially upload "The Makers Guardian" song in his Soundcloud Page... I really believe in a future expanded soundtrack from Darksiders II !!!!!!

I really don't understand why that track isn't on the soundtrack.

The track plays during several big epic boss battles. It also plays during the intro. Furthermore it's one of the more upbeat tracks of the whole score. I really don't see why one of the best tracks is left of an almost complete 2CD release... Especially since it is so prominently featured in the game...

After finishing the game I'm really glad that the Corruption turned out to be Death's Theme afterall.

And how freakin awesome is Samael?
He had a rather short roll in 2nd game but I just love everything about him.
He has turned into my favorite video game baddie of all time!

This is the worst soundtrack I have heard all year! I felt nothing when listening to it and it was a total waste of time to listen to it. I kept thinking, this has to get better so I kept plugging through it to the end and well it didn't get better. Kyd's previous works on the Hitman series and the Assassin's Creed games were great, but with Darksiders II it is like he just threw some stuff together and called it "music". It is tasteless shite and a composer such as Kyd could have done way better. 99% of the soundtrack was devoid of any melody or musical direction. In fact, I would go as far to say that 50% of the "score" was just an ambience track with various sound effects. That is not music, imo.

But by all means, if someone likes it then good for them; however, as for me I won't buy it nor burn it. This is coming from someone who enjoyed Drakenguard (which is one of the most experimental soundtracks for a game ever).
